Hertha AND Union? How is that even possible? Schalke? Please... don't get me started.
Lol I can explain that. Used to like Hertha even back when Michael Preetz was still playing but then the legendary FC Zurich coach Lucien Favre (who got sacked from Dortmund lately) went to Hertha and took with him some FC Zurich players so I was definitely supporting them. Now our FC Zurich legend Urs Fischer is coach at Union so I kinda support them as well, mainly because I wish Urs Fischer all the best.

But the truth is that I'm not sure how to feel about football and the football industry these days. I love attending games, but watching a bunch of millionaires (nothing wrong with that per se) play in empty stadiums is not exactly right up my alley. Any one else feeling football fatigue?
I feel the same. I don't even like watching football on the TV, for me it's all about the atmosphere in the stadium, the chants, the choreographies and yes the pyroshow. Watching soulless star ensembles in empty stadiums has no appeal at all for me.
Yeah, Favre's quite a character. I never fully understood why the guys at BVB were so unhappy with him (I get it, you guys never got over Kloppo, but isn't it time to move on?). I think Fischer is doing outstanding work at Union and I still love Max Kruse, but I'm not sure how to feel about Union after some of their recent shenanigans (especially how they dealt with COVID and racism).
Funny thing: Preetz (together with "Der schoene Bruno") just got sacked as Hertha's manager after being defeated 1-4 by my club.

Hertha is a cursed club. I'm not a fan at all, but it's painful to watch.
I've always been attracted to those kind of clubs. That's why I prefer Espanyol over Barca, Atletico over Real, Everton over Liverpool, Feyenoord over Ajax, just to name a few examples.
When I started supporting FC Zurich they had not won a title in almost 20 years and certainly were the underdog compared to our city rivals Grasshoppers. In the meantime we won a few titles but at the same time were also relegated once. If you lose often, those rare victories are all the much sweeter. For example, yesterday we won against FC Basel 4:1 in Basel, that has not happened in 25 years. This makes it so sweet.
Tl;dr: I guess it's just boring to win all the time.
Yeah, I get that... in theory. It's just that the clubs you mentioned have no appeal for me at all (which is fine, different strokes for different folks and all), with the exception of FC Zurich, who I know little about and who you kinda sold to me now.
