Caught the last 30 minutes of it, love seeing Madrid lose. I need to start catching more Barca matches, the fluency in their play is so much fun to watch, Messi especially.

Nah, the US are fucked, England will wipe the the floor with them and so will Slovenia(Really underated team, they beat Russia like).

Group G is fucked, really tough one to call just cuz of Drogba. I do expect Brazil to go through but Ivory Coast vs Portugal is too close. Ronaldo is the best but Portugal don't really play as a team were as i can see Ivory Coast really pullin together n causin some upsets!

FUCK FRANCE!! They don't deserve to be in the world cup at all. Ireland deserved it and France got off for cheatin(FUCK YOU HENRY!!).

Prediction - SPAIN (easily)

Indeed, good luck chaps. We (England) will, of course, blunder through to the semis then lose to the Bosch on penalty's.

Not saying that it isn't shitty that that's how France got through.  Ireland still hadn't won though.  France still could have won the playoff.  It's ridiculous for Blatter to say they are investigating whether to punish Henry for the handball.  Empty gesture, cause it won't and can't happen.

Well, Eduardo got punished for his dive, it's only fair that Henry gets a ban as well...

Different circumstances.  The ref should have called Henry's handball on the spot.  He didn't.  You can't go and retroactively punish players for committing fouls that refs don't call.  If you did that, then player's would be getting bans left and right all over the place for missed calls.

That's exactly what happened with Eduardo, he was banned retroactively. After his dive earned Arsenal a penalty.

Poor bastard, was probably going to sign for us (Sunderland). Although the way were going at the moment he's probably managed to both dodge and take a bullet at the same time.

The English media always does something like this every world cup. Terry was the best person for the job. I can see why they would have to strip him of captaincy, but giving it to someone who was banned for 8 months for failing to attend a drugs test is a joke. I would rather see Rooney, Lampard or Gerrard being captain.

Bringing this shit back to life.

Just watched the highlights of what I'm sure were thoroughly enjoyable Champions League matches. Now, I'm no Arsenal fan, but they totally humiliated Porto 5-0. Nasri disposes of three defenders in the penalty area and tucks it in the goal real pretty.

Fiorentina v. Bayern Munich 4-4, total goal fest.

Also, Donovan needs to get himself signed up with a European based club, I don't think his career is going anywhere in America.

bayern game was sick, not that I'm a big fan of them, but it was about the euroleague slot we took from the italians.
Robben goal was intense.

It ended 3-2 actually, still an awesome game though, as was the Arsenal one. Nasri's goal was A-1 meats.

It would be rad if they could pull it but I feel like their performance will be the same as Porto's yesterday, strong at home then fall apart away...

I only got to watch the first half of Madrid/Lyon before I went to class, so stoked on that result. 6 years in a row they've been knocked out in the round of 16. Loving all the knee-jerk "sack Pellegrini" shouts too, the more ills that befall that team the better.
