Wait, was that sarcasm? Because Real had a gazillion chances which they failed to capitalize from...

For sure not as many. And even if they did, it would make it an even match, not one sided.

Bvb walking this game and Ramos and Coentrao should have been off first half

What are you on about? Anyone with eyes can see that Dortmund aren't playing with Real.

I like how the announcer in the telecast I was watching said it will be an all German Final already.  I mean come on I know Barca's chances are next to none, but really should you be saying this as an announcer?  Those 2 late goals Real came up with made things interesting so anything could happen.  And I'm not a Barca fan.  I just want it to be exciting tomorrow.

They probably shouldn't speak to foregone conclusions, but it really would be miraculous at this point for Barca to get through. They're not going to put 4 past Bayern, and I'd have to assume with their short-staffed defense they're not going to keep a clean sheet either.

We're talking about one of the greatest teams in the history of the sport here.  If anyone has a shot to come back from 4-0 down it's Barca.  It's not over until Bayern score an away goal.

No Busquets, no Jordi Alba, Mascherano's definitely not at full fitness... it's too tall an order. Messi will probably still do something incredible, but I just can't see the upset ever happening.

Plus Bayern get Mandzukic back. Him, Robben and Muller are going to be way too much.

I'm predicting a 3-2 win for Bayern. There's no way Barca are going to be able to keep a clean sheet against them, even at home.

In fairness to him, he was still recovering from injury.

But regardless, he's confirmed to be on the bench today, so all Barca hopes can be fairly safely abandoned.

Yeah. They probably shouldn't have played him at all. He barely touched the ball.

And Tracer; shut the fuck up. No one wants to hear your dumbass opinions.

With that line up, I'm not even that surprised by that score.

Whatever, still excited to watch the final, should be a good game.

Think that match showed that Barca dont have the strength in depth, without Messi and both Xavi and Iniesta not firiing on all cylinders they are not the top team at the mo. Plus it also shows that Tracer doesn't win on the pools often.

Is it really a matter of depth though? I mean look at the Dortmund bench, almost laughable when compared with either the Bayern or the Barca teams.

I think it came down to the sheer athleticism of Bayern (and Dortmund). They've taken that relentless pressing for the ball and coupled it with just a devastating, direct and ruthless attacking style.

If the Barca team had a bit more depth would it not matter if a few good (awesomely good) players were not up to full fitness/scratch? I get that Bayern dont have best bench but a team like Barca should be able to rely on some experience of the bench, they only seem to have an A team of 14 or so players then a bunch of kids, who are undoubtedly good but lack in the experience of adjusting the playing style to combat against a team who are all about defense and counter. Which is ridiculous considering most teams play against Barca on the back foot.  This makes me think they dont have the depth.

barca's got injured players on defense, so I'm not surprised they couldn't shut out bayern.
They had some good chances on goal though, so the game could have gone in the other direction if one of those had gone in.

Agreed I think the press is overeacting a bit with this result.  It's a stunning scoreline over two legs but people are writing headlines that make it seems like Bayern are going to be untouchable for the next 4 years.  I know they are getting Goetze, Pep, and probably Lewandoski but I honestly don't believe they are a tier above Barca, Madrid, and the Manchesters.  I think they are equals who capitalized on some poor performances from the others and key injuries along the way.  Maybe I have some bias against Bayern for some reason.  They are a great side but a lot of it has been self destruction in the other camps.

How do you all think Bale will do for Madrid is he ends up there?

The Mourinho + Falcao to Chelsea rumors are getting me excited as well.  I just want this season to end (with a fourth placed finish of course)
