Thats not a red card at all. You can clearly see that Gaitan has his eyes on the ball the whole time, while G?n?l sort of runs in to Gaitan's foot. Honest mistake by Gaitan.

i see your point, but going in an one on one situation like this i more than risky play.

Who do you guys think will be the last team relegated in the EPL?  I'd be scared if I was a Newcastle fan right now.

It's hard to say the next game, I think as little as 39 point equals safety.  I think Norwich will get fucked, it will be close.

Wigan have three games and 2 are winnable, Home to Swansea today and Home to Villa on the final day.  Even if they draw one and win one they will be at 39.
Norwich have to beat West Brom at home this weekend, which will not be easy.   I can see them possibly getting a point and then getting hammered by City and then going down on goal difference at 39 points.
Newcastle have to beat QPR away, which is definitely doable.  Maybe they can nick a point from Arsenal too at St. James.
Sunderland just need a point against Southampton and they'll be at 39 points with the best goal difference.

All good things must come to an end. Hopefully he can get someone decent that will do the club justice in there to replace him.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I don't believe it will be Mourinho, fairly certain he's going back to Chelsea.
I'm guessing Jupp Heynckes or David Moyes.
Most likely Moyes.

Think Moyes would fit the bill, similar temperament and handles the press well. But are Utd looking for someone with a proven winning record or someone who hasn't won anything? Bit of a gamble for a big club. Roy Keane and Gareth Southgate dont have clubs at the moment

As a Sunderland fan this would be perfect, but I can't see it happening, it'll be wigan. Sad to see Fergie go, genuine "end of an era" stuff. But if wigan go down it'll all fit, Martinez to everton and Moyes to Man u??

Thats Moyes signed for 6 years, good luck to him. Tough act to follow. How much time is he going to get before he gets the "vote of confidence" from the board if he doesn't win next seasons EPL?
Benitez for Everton? ;)

Yeah I was saying this prior to Wigan losing during midweek.  Looking kind of grim that Wigan will pull the rabbit out of the hat this year.

Also with Moyes, he'll have a lot more money he had with Everton, but giving him a 6 year deal I thought was a bit much.  I'd thought they'd give him 2 or 3 years, because if he doesn't live up to the standards they can hire another high profile coach.  Now Man U might be tied into him as much as Newcastle is with Pardew.  Moyes has a lot more pressure now and will have to juggle the CL as well.  I guess Mourinho will go to Chelsea now.  Next season will be interesting for sure.

Moyes will be fine, Fergie's just going to pull the strings from behind the scenes now. Half of his contract is most likely a glorified apprenticeship.

Was a keeper for one of my local teams in my youth, played 5 aside not long ago in goals. After skate slams for years, diving about on astro turf really fucked my elbows, knees and hips. Could hardly skate for a couple of weeks till swelling went down. Not doing that again
