I've only read the first page so far, but these are the standouts for me:

"He dominates the tunnel. Even Roy Keane would think twice about making him cry like patrick Vieira"

"I think being the only living member of a group of species that have been extinct for millions of years give Gunnersaurus a perspective on loss that is unique in the mascot world."

If anyone can access Espn3 for the Sweden Portugal game right now, I promise you are in for a treat with this announcer.  This is fucking amazing.

I always hoped that Frank Ribery would be the next Zizou. No such luck.

There are some major World Cup qualifying games tomorrow that WILL knock out some major countries from the tournament. I don't think France and Sweden (aka Ibrahimovich) will make it. Aside from the obvious, who are betting will get knocked out?

Ukraine vs France - Ukraine won the first match 2-0.

Sweden vs Portugal - Portugal won the first match 1-0

Iceland vs Croatia - They drew their first match.

Greece, Uruguay and Mexico are pretty much in since they had such strong showings (3-1, 5-0 and 5-1 respectively) in their first matches of the 2 leg playoff.

I agree with you although Iceland can get lucky. Croatia has not been at top form for a while now losing to Scotland about a month ago.

Goddamn, World Cup without France...would you guys really want that?

Do Ukraine have better individual players/play better football to warrant a World Cup spot?

I want France to qualify. As a neutral, even if they play like absolute dog shit in the World Cup, the ensuing drama coming out of that camp would also be some good side entertainment.

Everyone wants to see France fail because they didn't deserve to be there in 2010 and did a couple of tantrums on a bus really make up for their pitiful display?  Only an Arsenal fan would want them to qualify.  I would like to see what Pogba could do, but there will be plenty of other action to look forward to. Most of all though I would just rather see USA drawn against Ukraine rather than France.

France have such a great team with Lloris, Varane, Clichy, Koscielny, Evra, Nasri, Pogba, Ribery, Valbuena, Giroud Benzema etc. It's just staggering that they haven't been able to pull it together to at least field a decent team over the last few years (although in fairness their qualifying group this year was pretty tough). Apparently Le parisien conducted a poll over the weekend that had 84% of French citizens not even identifying as fans of the national team anymore...yikes.

My bet on Croatia to win by 2 goals was looking spot on until Mandzukic decided to kick someone in the nuts.  Iceland with a chance now!!

As of my typing this, Ukraine have just conceded a goal.

You guys think they've been paid off to throw the game?

Hahaha, I was watching the game with my dad and when he did that we just looked at each other, totally perplexed. What the fuck was he thinking?
But yeah, Iceland didn't stand a chance, even against 10 men. I certainly didn't expect Croatia to play this well. Could have easily been 5-0.

Did Joey Barton ever get suspended for that?

Now that we know what the World Cup pool looks like, how about a simulated draw?  I'll take this one pleassssseeeee.
