Kind of bummed Zlatan won't be in the WC.  I'm not a fan of his, but I love some of the spectacular shit he can produce as well as his antics.  I liked how he talked shit to Pepe on his second goal. I'm also glad that France got through.  If you ask me who would I rather see in a WC match Ukraine or France there is no comparison.  I don't like France either, but much more watchable in my opinion.

On a side note I also watched Japan beat Belgium in Belgium.  I know it was a just friendly, but I'm really excited about Japan.  Their midfield is on point.  Fucking Honda was ruling.  They also played well against the Dutch a few days ago in a draw.  They seem to have adopted Barcelona's approach and that 6 second rule or whatever they do, but they try to play quicker passes in attack.  Japan's weakness will always be their defending being a smaller team.  That and not having a world class striker.

It's an issue only because this time it's one of the players doing it, and only in some media. Otherwise, the authorities have been turning a blind eye to this sort of shit because this is a weak state, unable to deal with the fascist tendencies in the public sphere, which seem to be occurring more frequently in the past few years...

Just put $20 on Bayern to win in Dortmund.  Should be fun doing some lunchtime drinking tomorrow, with Chelsea v West Ham on at the same time.

Everton v Liverpool match was nuts. Gutted The 'Pool couldn't hold out for a win but it was a hell of a game. Spurs looked like a Sunday league team today. Fuckin trounced by City

I though the opposite.  Everton couldn't hold on in the end.  Sick game though.

Spurs were actually winning he midfield battle for the first 30 min. even after that first goal by Navas.  The problem for them was when they lost the ball City countered so quickly and Paulino being up the pitch left Sandro alone.  Aguero and Negredo were clinical in their finishes.  City just needs to start winning on the road.

Whenever I say "Ajax" I pronounce it "EY-JACKS" in a really exaggerated American sports announcer voice.

Did I miss it, or has the vulva dome not been discussed yet? Searched but nothing came up.

http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/11/22/architect-zaha-hadid-fires-back-at-critics-of-her-so-called-vagina-stadium/

Especially after learning the architect is female (and a self-proclaimed feminist), I was almost positive the design is an elaborate, intended pun on the backward views of the region. I imagined how thrilled she must have been when this plan was approved. She denies any such intention. For all the architectural theorizing on phallic buildings and whatnot, about which she is surely aware, how can she NOT have seen this?
(I realize this may not be the best thread for this, but was not sure where else to take it.)

That PK wasnt even deserved by Barca,  without Messi the team is showing its attacking ability is not so great and Neymar still hasnt reached the level of taking the game over yet.  Plus I havent even mention their back half yet....

It's too bad he's a horrible cunt, because he's a really good player and I'd prefer to like him, but I don't.

Also, *insert Moyes, Everton, Old Trafford Joke*

Hazard played like Cristiano today.

I understand your feelings but he isnt paid to be liked by non-liverpool fans. He definitely is a bit of a tit but I have other people way higher up my list of horrible cunts

Then again, I'm an owner of an Ashley Cole jersey hahaha.  Which team are you in fantasy again Spike?  I'm sitting in 4th, with Rooney suspended for next week.

Suarez is out of control! He is a horrible little rodent, but sometimes i cant help but like him. How do people feel about liverpool's chances of finishing top 4? or united's for that matter? As a spurs fan, i hope that they both stay out and we sneak in (city, chelsea and arse all looking too good atm). Still a lot left of the season, but damn it feels as if every game is crucial! really exciting to watch.

I think it's still too early to tell, but judging on what I've seen, Liverpool have as good of a chance as United and Everton do to get the last champions league spot.  Spurs...not so much.

Good luck to all on today's draw if you still have a dog in the fight.  Fingers crossed for Switzerland, Algeria, Greece.

Regardless of what group the U.S. winds up in, they definitely need to play as many top seeded teams as possible in the run up to the cup.
