Fuck it, I'll take Welbeck.

But unfortunately for you guys, he's also shit.

Does it not bother the Arsenal fans that you emerge as a very real possibility for Falcao, and then you end up Welbeck? Wenger's had five transfer windows to replace RVP now, surely it's starting to wear thin?

The deal for Falcao is too insane.  United will pay about 9 million dollars for a 1 year loan, but have to pay all his wages too which equals about 30 million dollars or 18 mil pounds.

Woodward is a very busy man on the last day of transfers.  Kagawa back to Dortmund and Chicharito to Real.  Daily Blind for 14 mil. pounds.  Just fucking wow what they have spent going back to Mata and Fellaini last season.

If my numbers and math is correct

Falcao 5 plus 18 mil. pounds for wages
Blind 14 mil.
Di Maria 60 mil.
Rojo 16 mil.
Shaw 30 mil.
Herrera 29 mil.
Mata 37 mil.
Fellaini 27 mil.

About 236 million pounds.  :o

You know, after years and years of frustration from knowing your club have it in their capacity to do better (but often don't) you just kind of become numb to everything and it just washes off your shoulder.

I realize it's just football and it's all just trivial in the grand scheme of life. I've become very zen about Arsenal.

Ha, that pretty much sums up my feelings towards Torres for the past three and a half years.

I think Torres at this point almost certainly DOES NOT have the capacity to do better. Arsenal on the other hand have been sitting on a fat stack of cash for the last few years but have remained relatively tight fisted.

If I was an Arsenal supporter I would be a bit miffed that they didn't get Falcao given Giroud's injury, but I believe Arsene thinks he can get away with using Alexis Sanchez and maybe Walcott as makeshift center forwards until he gets back. In any case, Man U are probably only getting Falcao as a one-year rental. I'm guessing this loan deal is just a way for him to keep himself playing at a high level while he waits for Real Madrid to put the money together to sign him next summer.

Wow Chelsea and Diego Costa are tearing up the league right now. They are giving up a lot of goals though, which I doubt Mourinho is very happy about.

Just watching the Madrid derby right now. Apparently Real still don't know how to mark properly from corners. I wonder what percentage of the goals they've conceded over the past 3-4 years have been from set pieces?

Chelsea look like inevitable title winners to be honest.

Guess I'm just going to try and enjoy my team's football this season and try not to invest too much emotionally

Gutted about Harry Kane scoring at the wrong end late on.

I think Poch knows what he's doing though.

Ozil = Arsenal's Torres?  He is flopping hard.  What's his deal?  Daley Blind looks quite a player after one game against very weak opposition.

I was really trying to fight my inner raging consumer hormones this year but I cracked and just bought this shirt.

Ozil is kind of funny in that his style of play makes him really good at one very specific thing but not much else. He can't really run, dribble or do any sort of meaningful defensive work but he is a "key pass" machine if you get him in the right position on the pitch with the right players surrounding him. Arsenal can't really get the most out of him right now because their central midfield spots are already taken, and Ozil really struggles with the pace and directness of the premiere league when he's put on the wing.

Back when Arsenal first bought him I thought they probably should have gone after DiMaria instead. It's a shame that United ended up getting him instead.

Overrated? I don't know of any other "top calibre" team that gets ridiculed and shat on as much as them. Everyone and their mothers are fully aware of the shortcomings of Arsenal and go on about it incessantly. Psychological/physical fragility? Ozil's underperformance? Failure to address glaring personnel issues year after year?

Still my preferred brand of choice

Dormtund's pressing is fucking intense. There's always 2 or 3 guys hounding and trying to poke the ball away.  They can always give teams who like to posses the ball a hard time.  I seriously don't know how Dortmund keeps it up the whole game.  I guess it's a credit to Klopp. They did the same thing to City a few years back.

Closed my laptop in frustration and walked away when Ludogorets drew level, I just fucking knew it was coming. Didn't even realize there had been another goal until someone texted me an hour later. Craziness, but I guess that's always been the Liverpool MO.
