There were ample opportunities for 8 in three just before Villa scored.
Oh well.
Arsenal - ManU should be good tonight

I honestly thought Arsenal had a chance. Love that champions league is back also. My fantasy team needs so many transfers hahaha. Looking at the other teams in our league we all had a pretty poor week and it was quit leave, lowest got 42 points this week and highest 50.

Celtic Park was class again last night. Fans gung ho for 90 minutes in spite of 0-3 loss (Celtic deserved better) and standing ovations for subbed Benzema and Modric. Would love to go to a big game there one day.

I was trying to watch the Celtic match but the telly kept flickering on and off, was driving me mad. They had the PSG match on the other telly had an eye on it also. Yeah @excitableboy its something you have to experience, there is such a great buzz about the place.
Thomas Tuchel got sacked in the morning...I really hope Brighton can keep Graham Potter, they are great to watch as a neutral but guess he is their number one choice to replace Tuchel.

Woah that's crazy Tuchel got the sack. Seems a bit premature given they're still getting warmed into some new players

By sheer coincidence I live near a town in the Apuan alps which is full of Glaswegians. Celtic only. Will have to watch a CL fixture there one of these days. That'll have to stand in for Celtic Park for the time being.

Tuchel sack seems flippant but then that is to be expected these days.

@excitableboy do it!
Spurs did well last night as to be expected at home Richarlison was a good signing. Liverpool tanked not sure what is up with them this season, didn't see that coming.
I will just leave this here:

What can you expect with that midfield?
So many injuries they have to rely on rapidly aging James Milner and young players.
Also TAA’s defending was comically bad at times.

And propably next week too.
This weekend out of ”respect” and next weekend due to police being tied to funeral.
After that there’s an international break.

Bit late to the party but I loved how Liverpool got battered on and off the pitch in Naples.

They don’t play games there.

Chelsea v Liverpool and Manchester United v Leeds are both cancelled. I probably would have missed them anyways. At least there is champions league tonight.

To each their own mate I guess.

I just find it super weird to diss their image. I don’t support them nor I’m from there but they’re among the most iconic clubs aesthetically wise.
I wouldn’t personally diss a club that gifted us the best version of Diego and where football is seen as religion and will make the toughest fan on this thread feel soft.

Everyone that knows football will tell you this.

Tell me where else in Europe you would find this (90s windows) aesthetics….

i'm not insulting their club or their history, just the current iteration of their badge (which isn't the one Maradona wore) with the fake light hitting it...sorry if i offended you, but the way you're sticking up for the italians makes me think you should change your username to Sick Boy

It slightly changed since the 80s ok but I can’t really get your point. It’s a strange thing to notice haha.

No offense at all haha, it’s all good man.
You’re from the states right? Just behave when you talk bout football (as in soccer).

Glory Glory To The Hibees indeed.

Haha the Banana flats.

Nah dude for real I’m just giving credits to the clubs that deserve it, we were talking of image.

You would never diss River or Boca or other iconic shit. Hell there’s many even St.Pauli if you wanna keep it small. More like you should change your user to StevieG init haha.

But yeah just don’t have this takes on big clubs wherever you go in Europe cos people will stop taking you seriously otherwise.

Yeah, a tremendous change since Diego joined in ‘84.

I mean we were talking about the west ham badge to name one, I’d totally agree. No more Boylen Castle, fair, that’s super sad too.
Seemed more like a jab than something meaningful that’s all. But we good.

Edit: re reading what I wrote, I stand for it, but I didn’t wanna sound too tough, I’m chillin. It’s just my pointless opinion anyways.

I had to watch that replay a few times before I could even comprehend how that happened...and on the Stones goal I know "swerve and dip" and all that, but that keeper looked like he'd fit right in on my over40 Sunday squad.
