What? last years ManU Chelsea final was brilliant. I absolutely wouldn't mind seeing that again.
[close]

But it's always the usual suspects, what are the chances of Steaua or Celtic winning it ever again? I'm tired of the same old shit on tv every tuesday/wednesday (thank fuck I don't have to pay to watch CL footy on TV). The commercialization of football is really killing the game. In a couple of years there will be an NBA type of league with the lower quality teams not being able to participate, just the same 24 or 36 teams year in year out. It disgusts me. [/rant]
I hear you on that one, but let's face it, it's not gonna change anytime soon, so I just embrace what I can get. And when you break it down like that you're still left with amazing top notch football, Michael Ballack crying and eventually also some quality shots of Edwin Van Der Sar holding babies.

It's because there are no salary caps. That way the rich teams are usually going to be the best teams. Introduce a salary cap and all of a sudden you have a much more balanced competition with great players on almost every team.

chelsea vs everton in the fa cup final.

i didnt see either game, both were pretty good apparently. drogba scored late for chelsea and everton won on penalties.

hoping that everton wins it.

I just watched the penalties in the Everton game, oh how I laughed.
Then I saw this photo of Ferguson being pissed of at the ref for not giving a penalty to ManU and I laughed some more.

Liverpool - Arsenal today was insane. So many Liverpool mistakes defensively, but it certainly made things exciting.

I don't think any premiership striker would have walked away with less than a hat trick if given the same opportunities, honestly.

probably, but they wouldn't of finished the way arshavin did, his 2nd goal was a hit and a half and i don't know how he caught up to walcott and finish near post on the 4th. he's gonna end up being as big of a signing as thierry henry was to arsenal. that being said, its going to suck watching man united win the premier league, again.

Yeah he definitely made the second goal himself, beautiful strike.

Here's hoping for a Peter Crouch executed miracle tomorrow.

0-0 in the barca-chelsea game, hopefully it'll make the next week an interesting game.

barca went close a couple of times. you've got to give it to hiddink though, his tactic for the game went pretty well.

I gave up in the first half and then came back for the last 20 minutes, so yeah, nothing memorable...

Manchester owned the second leg. I actually thought Arsenal were going to push it in the first 5 mins and make the game difficult,
then they pretty much fucking imploded haha.

also a lot of talk yet again that Ronaldo is going to Madrid (yawn). and apparently United's thinking of a $60 million (or pounds) transfer
bid for Ribery if Ronaldo goes.

INIESTA!!!!

fuck that was nerve racking....chelsea did the same shit as the 1st leg and it almost worked.... maybe they were unlucky with Pique's non call but Abidal getting sent off was shit..

messi better not disappear in the final cause without abidal, alves, and marquez Man U  is going to be tough

BARCA!!!

Poor Chelsea...I haven't seen refereeing this bad in years. More bad decisions than you could shake a stick at. Still, not really gutted that Barca went through...

I was so happy for Barca. Drogba (as usual) and Anelka were disgraceful. The red card was easily one of the worst dives I've ever seen, and not having to watch this parking-the-bus bullshit again elates me. Yeah reffing was shit both ways for the most part, but none of the Chelsea penalty shouts had any merit except maybe the handball one, but even that was questionable.

Just watched the highlights on the news. Yeah that ref was pretty bad.

The final should be very good though, can't wait for it.

haha fuck yeah! that gif is priceless, Drogba is definitely going to be in the shit if it goes to the UEFA officials.

the ref made some really bad decisions, but then again I hate Chelsea so oh well.

The final is going to be good. Unless one team wrecks shop, I think 1-0 to either or it'll go to penalties.

Even though Dani Alves was fucking terrible today, with him, Marquez and Abidal gone for the final they're going to be pretty hurt in the back so things probably won't be so cagey. I'd expect a few goals, but I have a feeling United have what it takes... unfortunately.

hahaha

no joke man, the second i saw that after the match i thought to myself, man that'd be the greatest gif. ever!! big up!

yeah, that had to of been one of the worse officiated matches i've ever seen, but the goals were nuts. feel kinda bad for chelsea i really didn't want to see a repeat of last years cl final. still don't know who i got to win the final, but from the looks of it i can't see a make-shift barca defense stop man utd from scoring
