I remember talking about this to a skateboarding sub box ceo while working at his company in 2015 but he didnt care and now prod/primive launches this lol. Looks like he now got some competition.
Also as usual lots of ppl judge really quick. They will have time to iterate on what's in the box, and work on the offering. It doesnt have to be perfect at first. They're probably doing this to crash test the market and see who the first subscribers are, where they live, age, etc. They will get feedback on the products and the offer.
Another thing some people here need to know is that slap users are not representative of the market. A teen from the suburbs doesnt think like a west/east coast teen or a 35yo-9.0-slappy skateboarder who writes posts on Slap.
Also, they probably know that the 1set of wheels/month is a problem but decided to launch it this way while thinking about a more suitable package.
Anyway, curious to see how it goes and people reaction.
