I painted for the first time on Friday going along with a Bob Ross video with some family. It was so fun I bought some cheap oil paints and brushes and stuff this weekend to do more. I never wanted to paint because it seemed really hard. And I’m sure it is to do it on your own. But just that one video was making stuff click in my head. And I liked how Much flexibility you have with oil. Looking forward to doing more.

There we go not what I was trying to post whatever though.

I did like 20 of these but they wasn't self portraits and traded or gifted them to others.

I love it when people give me labels. I feel like a kook when they pick the ones I'm on so I don't put them out.

I'll post the wall later maybe. I got heat stroke yesterday. I ate Mayo that was baking in a dark car for way too long

Much luv to the everyone I met at Lynch yesterday. Mad positive skate days till I ate the second half of the 3way and hit the freeway

Nice one man. Do you ever watch Art21? There's a Matthew Ritchie video and he has modular metal sculptures that snap together that remind of your shapes. I forget where he culls the images from - I think some scientific data visualized.
He used to have this really fun choose your own adventure website but that was in the early aughts when artists had websites designed to confuse more than commodify.

Hey thanks man. Nah though, I’ll have to look into that, that really sounds sick! I have a whole series of these.

But yea I’m also really inspired by like overhead topographical  images, and macro images of nature and science technology shit.

I've done a ton of painting since the quarantine and selling stuff to directly donate to COVID-19/BLM/Mental Health/Animal related needs. Raised about 300.00 thus far. Anyone willing to guide me on the best way on uploading stuff from my phone to post up here?

i've gotten a lot better but i can't get much support. im literally like the most starving artist guy in this town. im the first person in my family to really do something with the talent i was gifted but it sucks to realize im going to have to work a shitty job to fund my "dream" because there isn't any way i can turn this into something worth while in the eyes of my dad.  ill also forever be a child due to trauma and other factors..

i cant grow up..which doesnt mean to imply im irresponsible. i am just an emotional burden to my family not a financial one

Spent the past few pandemic months teaching myself how to build a surfboard. Wound up making a few of them. I illustrated the laminate on paper which I had to then scan and trace in illustrator to print out nice and solid...then I tape rice paper to a standard sheet of paper so it will feed through a copier without getting destroyed and print the art to the rice paper. It gets cut out and placed beneath the fiberglass and then laminated with epoxy resin.

Thanks dudes, appreciate the positive feedback. And fineco, that’s nuts. Seems a bit daunting to even begin a project like that.

def was daunting with the first one. It took me a lot longer than expected. I spent tons of time reading and reading about process and tried to get an idea for all aspects of it, but even then it still didn't help as much as just doing it.
