I'm not really big on spending extended periods of time with a pen anymore but I was staying alone for 9 days with coffee, trees, and some small mushroom doses.

@Uncle Flea the way you drew the skateboard with the fast, aggressive Twombly linework is fucking rad. I hope you do more in that style.

Awesome stuff everyone

Does anyone know the name(s) of the person/people who make iconography but of pro skateboarders (example of iconography below)?  I saw one person I think on insta but can't find their work again.

I've been teaching myself how to make surfboards for a bit now, and just finally picked up an airbrush for the first time to try a fade:

DUDE my first board had this red to orange rail fade (with taped off rails) having nostalgia overload

Looks great!

I dunno who it is but that sounds amazing haha

Some creative-y stuff I've been up to recently, this is a frame-by-frame animation I made for a rapper from here's latest release -

Ehh I also made this weird hiphop release using only samples from the first 3 Tomb Raider games, and put in random Northern Irish samples

I did the collage for my friend's band's upcoming summer tour. My GF helped with the tour dates / text. I really need to get out of the "iM 0NlY aN AnAloG ArTisT" mindset and learn photoshop so I can do this stuff without relying on her.

Yo! You know the dudes in Movements? That sick. Seen them a handful of times, always a fun time. When that Outgrown Things EP came out a few years ago, listened to that shit on repeat.

Collage work is dope tho dude!

Another day of vacation spent injured. Learned highlights, gradient, and shadowing today. Line work is still messy though.

what kind of gear do you need in conjunction with Ai to draw stuff out? do you have some sort of electric pad + pen? Ive drawn my whole life and will need to become adept with Ai soon but I've never been around anyone using Ai

I really like this one @PuffinMuffin
Did you do this one in Illustrator too?
I'm just trying to learn Procreate on my iPad Pro. It's taking forever.

Do it! We'd be stoked!

Maya looks fun, a shame it's 200+ dollars a month.

Maya is fun if you like slamming your head against a hard surface several times a day, losing all progress because you improperly assigned your project and forgot to set your temp files correctly. Oh did I mention that your reference files can sometimes corrupt themselves meaning you have to create an entirely new project to hopefully fix the problem and load in 2000 objects all over again? And don’t get me started on rendering engine compatibility issues. Venting real hard because I almost had an aneurysm trying to install a new version of renderman lmfao, the 3D life is the hard life sometimes  ;D

Skimmed the last few pages, some good stuff in here.

Anyone mess around with sign painting/lettering style? Been interested in that for awhile but have never really looked into it. Seems like it would be fun to get into over the winter.

Here's IG where I post some of my art. It's a mix of my photography, drawings, & digital art.

Check it out if you'd like, just please don't troll me because I think my mom follows the account and she would be devastated.
