Honestly not the best angle-

But yeah that’s probably why Aruba mentioned it was first try, commenting on the fact that he also had one try to grab it... would have been a great angle for a front feeble though! Which is probably what he was set up for ...

Shits insane and your not going to ask him to do that again... 😤😤😤

Well the jury is in on the cover photo and it sounds like it's foy's fault for being too good

Yeah Aruba really shit the bed with that angle.  Surprised Jake said "fuck it, its El Toro, its gnar, slap it on the cover!"

Why is the photo bad? I guess it's a little flat feeling.

Just curious since some of you are convinced it's a bad photo...

It could be my personal preference, but I hate when the board lines up with the rail on a fs crook photo.

Here's an example of what looks better in my book, and it just so happens to be Mr. Foy himself:

What an asshole Jamie Foy is for ruining the guy who has been shooting skate photos for decades' shot by landing it first try. How was Aruba supposed to know that angle was bad?

It’d be hard to get that angle at El toro bc of the building there.

What’s this footage being saved for?  I wish it was in his DW part

A-RUBA. That sounds like one of those old time car horns, huh? A-RUBA! A-RUBA!

Also, the FS crook at Paul Revere (that's where that rail is, right?) was used in a Thrasher part of his that came out some time around last year.

I agree that a cooler shot would have been from above the stairs, but I think there's two issues at play - shane cross is facing out on that trick which makes it infinitely easier to shoot at a spot like el toro and that the best way to shoot el toro is landscape style if you have to shoot the someone skating the way foy is here.   The best photograph at el toro was Mumford's smith which got an angle from the side, similar to the Tosh feeble angle, but these are rarely used for covers.   I bet he was going to shoot the fs feeble for the cover and set up for that and the fs crooks happened afterwards unexpectedly.  if it wasn't going to be a cover, you shoot that from the side

Yeah.  There was a period in the mid to late 00s when kick flips were thrown into everything.  I think Nyjah or Berger has 360 flipped into one recently

Yeah I know I've seen it before just can't think of any. It's a pretty rare one. The fact he did one on a decent sized handrail and it was tossed in his part is crazy

Steez the ‘Teez had a sequence of a kickflip front feeble in a Zoo York ad when he was like 4 years old or something. I’m sure Billy Marks has done it too.

Wade D did one switch on a handrail in the Kayo vid aeons ago, still one of the nuttiest manoeuvres of all time in my book.

That cover is a terrible photo of a terrific trick.

wade did one switch on a small rail 10 years ago.  maybe 7 of 8 but it's still mind blowing.   Jamie's ks fs feeble could have used 4 more angles.  so awesome!
