I set this up because I have taken some of the hardest slams on simple shit on my new Polar 92 and now I'm fucking scared of it. I had 6.1 Ventures on this for an hour and it kinda sucked, so I am going to try my first pair of Thunders this weekend.

Baker 9.25 x 32 x 14
Ace 55 w Riptide pivots
F4 Radial Full 58mm 99a
Swiss

Big fan of this shape, basically the Loveseat on BBS wood.

Damnn.. I'm torn between getting this Baker deck or the Heroin Street Baller deck..

That baker does look sweet and seems to fit 9” trucks well.

Oh they make them mr. and after skating them for 30-40 minutes last night, I can tell you they are amazing. Within minutes I was actually catching kickflips instead of my normal floppy-gross fliptricks I usually have had on 9+ setups in the past. Manual shit on my little pad were far easier, and my old man ollies felt higher and cleaner.
I really like bones mediums and didn't want to go through the bushing break in period, I would rather just skate. The stock bushings could be amazing, but unfortunately I'm not patient enough to find out..
It is Prime wood and it was highly recommended by a pal on here a few pages back. He swears by them, and I can see why.
I did want to try risers with them, but I am having trouble  finding compatible ones that won't cost more for shipping then the actual pads.

I take care of my curbs.

That setup is looking friggin sick seventyfrigginseven!

After a quick session I came to the realization that I no longer pop my tail and have decided to ditch my 58mm wheels and 1/8 risers for some 60s and a whopping 5/8s of rise.  Oh and some original vision rails that I accidentally drilled all the way through multiple times while trying to reseat the screws cause I’m an idiot and was drilling them in the dark.

Scram
Ace 66
1/2 inch and 1/8 risers
60mm OJ II combos 95a
Swiss
1 1/2 bolts

I decided to leave the board without rails and to put spitfire 53mm f4 conical full wheels (worn down to 49mm) but I'm probably going to change them to 59 bigheads. The board is a nervous 10" with ace 55's on 1/8 risers.

1000th setup for the month, no self control here. I got sick of having a ton of setups for specific stuff, so I’m trying to downsize to one setup. Figured I could still stay on a 9” but get something with a way shorter wheelbase. My last 9.25” had a 14” wb which was just too small for what I do. Let’s see if this solves the problem...

Creature ‘Stump’ Shape (9”x31.15”x14.25”)
169 Conical Bushings Flat Washer
58mm OG Classics
Swiss
Mob

The kicks are HUGE on this thing, will take a little getting used to. I used to only skate boards with nearly 7” tails so this will be natural again eventually. May switch to 159 or 55’s if I decide I want to flip it a little more.
Thats sick! Good luck with your quest for one setup my friend. I had the same goal and still ended up with two 9+ and a tech setup. You can do it.  :)

I didn’t want to start a new thread so I figured I’d post up here. I came across a set of Indy 215’s and was looking for some deck recs. I was thinking one of those 101 Natas reissues or that ATM click Donovan Rice. Fire away! Thanks!

Heroins Gold 10” egg is absolutely perfect with 215s. Powell Ripper (with the nose), the XL Heroin Curb crusher is good. Have had mine on a Madness 10” at one point to and loved it. There’s a couple Scram shapes such as the Fink and Pig as well.

I’ll check it out. Thank you. I don’t think I’ve had a deck that wide since the 80’s.  8)

it really is a great board, kind of want to snag another. i tried to imitate those super early 90's street setups, i think i came close enough.

honestly the extend of my "street" skating is really mostly curbs and such, so its perfect for me.

So no more polar 92 with the 6.1? need risers with the 161s even though you are using 52mm wheels?

I rarely set up freshies, but I needed a cruiser for putting around at work. Soft wheels and stability are key here.
