Copied from the small deck energy thread...

Also that gross is so sweet

Sexiest setup around!!

I love the look of the super wide square wheels. I've been waiting for that deck to drop here for some time, cant say no to wheel wells on a 9 deck

Thanks! I really wasn’t a fan of the graphics, nor the blue but the shape, dimensions and wood are just a guaranteed win. Wheel wells are also nice, so I can throw my new 58s on there easily.

Also I was surprised nobody noticed my addition to the top graphic, haha...

I almost did, but I'm a little hesitant on the length. Seems like it would be a nice contrast to my green giant.

Here’s my current set up

Atm Click Donovan Rice 10in
Indy 169s (w the red bushings can’t remember the duro slightly softer than the yellow)
OJ Nomads / reds (not my first choice but what the shop had)
Enjoy tummy rails (they’re okay, first time using rails, not sure who makes the best ones these seem kind of cheap)
Mob

This is my first big board just got it yesterday. So far it’s super super fun, going from 149s to 169s is an adjustment, maybe I should have gone for 159s not sure. Definitely recommend this board, it was only $50 at the shop. It’s made at bbs too.
I really want one of Donovan’s boards unfortunately they’re just to short for me. Or I’m to tall for them. Whichever fits. Rad setup and glad to see his boards getting some love.

I almost did, but I'm a little hesitant on the length. Seems like it would be a nice contrast to my green giant.

They are almost the two extremes, eg yellow beach bum is very short with short 14.2 wheelbase and short nose, the green giant is very long with 15.25 wheelbase and a regular long nose, which was drilled down on the second hand one I got making the nose super long, so I was almost thinking of cutting it down too.

It is more just a cruiser for me, so not that important, but it is funny with such a big difference.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Yes, and you are not alone there - lots of people are keen!!!

This is the most recent stock drop just released as per DLXSF.COM and https://www.antiheroskateboards.com (and the Stock Report video above / on the previous page), so might be in some stores sooner than later in more local US areas, but might be a whole lot longer in other places, like Australia or EU.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Well damn, this thread made me scourge the shops for a Dane1, so now I need to get some new trucks, fuck. Stoked on the Bistro graphic though

So should I go with Ace 55's? Or wider? Would rather ride a flying carpet than a hot rod...

Edit: Just saw the post by @dancing's above, and fuck does it look good with those 55's.

55 classics or 66 af1s.

Here’s my dane1 with 55 classics

Sure nuff, set it up with 55's and it's a fucking hoot. Lotsa plank and lotsa concave. Love it.

Hey Skibb and Freelancevagrant, you guys got me stoked to get one too. Looking at the exact same board and graphic as you Skibb.

How much does it taper over the back trucks?

Thanks.

I mean, it tapers a bit of course. But it's 9.75" at its widest point and theres no hot rodding with my 9" Ace 55 Classics, so it's nothing crazy. Maybe a smidge under 9" at it's narrowest on the tail?

Haven’t had a chance to really skate them. Wanted an old school feel with this setup and 97a where my wheels of choice back in the day. My fave were Powell T-bones hopefully these replicate that feeling.

Where has that 9.6 pat g shape been hiding? I've been wanting a 9-9.5" egg, but those pat g specs are tempting...

Zmorgf prototype 10.125" x 31.38" with 13.8" - 14.38" WB (Despite me measuring out a 14-14.5" wb before drilling. Doing the bolt holes is one of the worst things ever.)

Dogtown K-9 60mm 97a 80's Single Conical Wheels (worn down to 58mm)

Thunder 161 Hollow Lights

Bones Swiss

Bones 1/8" riser pads

Bones 1" hardware

Jessup

I might swap the wheels and add rails later, but I'm happy for now.

If you're interested in the stuff I cut, you can keep up with my progress here:

Actually skated them for a couple of hours. I like them. Smooth enough to cruise with but hard enough for tricks. They slide well when needed. Handles the crusty stuff ok but nowhere near a soft 78a though. Overall I would recommend them but I can’t comment on longevity yet.

Grabbed a shor west deck, Probably wont be setting it up for a minute, but here's the tea for those who want more detailed measurements.

measurements are taking with the tape stretched, ignoring the concave.
Length: 30.5"
width (widest): 10.34"
width (front truck): 9"
width (back truck): 8.5"
WB: 14.75
nose: 5"
tail: 6.75
(margin of error is like a 1/8" because I found out my tailor's tape actually reads 3/16" short, but I tried to compensate)

You were lucky to pick up one of those Shor deck, they sold out so quickly even locally!
I ended up getting one of Kento’s scratchie graphic in 8.625 but I had to HUNT!
