staying in SF from 24-27 september. Any help concerning cheap sleeping facilities would be helpful. Everything is so expensive.

How many people are you traveling with? If you’re by yourself, find a cheap hostel, if you can’t find anything good on Airbnb. Also, are you driving, flying, taking a train/bus?

Going to California for work but I will stay two days in SF by myself. There's plenty of spots threads but I'm wondering if it's easy to get a ticket for skating or which is the best way to move around with public transport.

After the weekend I'm heading to San José to work but if there's any interesting spot I think I will have time to skate it.

Thanks!

I go to SF every year (except this year we missed it) and we have never gotten a ticket. We definitely should have when we put a tent on the beach. But you should be fine

Twin Peaks, dmv, delores is rad to cruise down, if you get a chance checkout rest of bay area albeit Oakland and Berkeley Shops I go to are 510, FTC, DLXSF. waterfront is rad there's so many hills it'll give you whiplash, had so much fun cruising down Oakland hills, yeah they're steep but not as steep as SF.

sidewalk chocolate lol

last time i was there criddlers came into a burrito spot and were eating left overs with their barehands. two separate locations. whatever people had left on the table, it was open season. nobody seemed to be uncomfortable. talk about haves and have nots.

crids ain't making it through the door in NYC for the most part. even Venice beach crids aren't coming into businesses.

Also agree you should carve China banks a few times.

Where are you now? It’s insane to imagine living in SF and then moving back a few years later with those insane rent prices now your lucky to get a shared room

San Diego. Where do you live? First time I lived up there , had 6 roommates & rent was $600. Not gonna live like that anymore. Bunch of pads in the  $900-$1,200 range on Craigslist. Always regretted leaving

I'm going to SF next month for vacation and I'm planning on just staying in my small camper van. Any recommendations on good safe areas to park and sleep that arent too far out of town?

Outer Sunset, closer to the ocean the better. Just can't park overnight on the Great Highway if your vehicle is over 7 feet. Just go a block east and you'll be good.

If you drive south 10-15 min, Esplanade Ave behind the Safeway in Pacifica is coast side comfort. Many van campers regularly posted up.

Also look into getting a hotel in Oakland with access to Bart. The hotels are far from nice but they are a little over $100 for a room and walking distance to MacArthur bart which is like 4 stops away from SF.

I stayed in the Edwardian close to the deluxe store, which was a cheaper option. Wasn't bad at all.

When I was a little kid I used to go with family. Go for the garlic fries if they still offer them, just be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for everything. SF + Giants game = $$
