Shin Gaurds???
« on: January 01, 2018, 03:31:44 AM »
Recently decided I'd try to improve my flat ground game but I got a nasty shinner within 10 minutes of relearning heelflips. I figured that it would be best to get some sort of sleeve that goes over my socks to protect my shins, ankles, and achilles(back of ankle???). What are some gear suggestions/reccomendations? I might just diy it and try to make my own if i can't find a good one online...

I know you can get little ones that just fit in your sock and don't have straps or anything

But yeah, shits wack. Embrace the shinner

I’ve done the soccer shin guards for a few years but now I wear the footprint painkiller socks. The real ones obviously provide more protection but are a chore to get on/off and can feel bulky. The socks still might sting a little if you get hit hard but they’ll give you a nice bruise instead of busting your shin open. I dig em

I did soccer shin guards. They’re fine until full tilt summer when it feels like leg warmers.

I have three pairs of the pain killers. If you have muscular calves, it’s a pain to get on. Otherwise, they’re pretty effective.

Just run it off or skate it off, trust

The more you stand around and soak in the pain the worse it feels

It goes away in seconds when you get moving rather than letting it resonate

When I was younger, I would just slap myself hard at the point of impact in my shin. I figured if I somehow managed to hit the same spot twice, I already got it out of my system. Never run from pain.

Shin guards will prevent all pain from your shins.
And they will also, depending on the crowd you run with, bring you endless amount of ridicule.

My advise in the case of the latter: Get better friends.
