There's only a couple smaller manus in the US so I don't think that much is getting past us....

I'm okay with a manufacturer being in Mexico. At least it doesn't sit in a shipping container on the water for weeks

The day the industry stops using CANADIAN hardrock maple and switches to Michigan or great lakes shit I'm done. If it doesn't say CANADIAN Maple I don't even touch it. What do they know about growing trees over on the underside of Lake Michigan? It's at least 1 degree warmer there PATHETIC. I bet you don't even need a toque what type of shitty trees you trying to pass off? I heard they will start branding a red maple leaf and then write "Hardrock Maple" under it so it implies Canadian Maple without saying the words Canadian. They don't want to alienate us from buying their hardgoods Canadians are a HUGGEEE very important part of the skate industry as everyone knows.

Try asking them on IG. I've noticed it's a lot easier to reach out to smaller brands and actually get a response, especially in regards to their product questions. The only brand that straight up ignored me was Modus Bearings lol. Fuck them.

^I chatted with Modus bearings on Facebook Messenger. Dude said that titanium rusts and all sorts of other bullshit that's just not true. That lead me to believe that their titanium bearings aren't actually titanium at all.

They also make city stars. I had a citystars last year. The shape was fine. But the plys were a little thicker and it was heavier than my average board.

no problem, also for shameless self promotion purposes I’m the guy with the hairy chest on their Instagram who does the really terrible nose manual Hollie heelflip. Club is kind of just a homie company and a fun project that was made to be about as big as it is.

It's always a random one, either Chinese or MDCN.
The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

I asked Antiz about their woodshop on facebook, but I did not get an answer. Oh, I checked the website of mdcn distribution and it kind of sounds as if they have their own woodshop located in Hamburg.

"We have been producing skateboards and hardware for more than 15 years for many well known european companies. The entire production process is subject to constant quality checks and due to german know-how on site here in Hamburg we can meet the highest standards at manufacturing skateboard decks for professional and amateur skateboarders from all over the globe. Due to constant testing and further development by skaters the important aspects of our factorys productions are just great!"

Does that mean they check the boards for quality, which they have imported from China or do they actually produce them in Hamburg?

I doubt it, I am skateboarding for over 20 years in Germany and never saw one single piece of skate product that stated "Made in Germany" on it. Mdcn was also one of the cheapest option if you want to create your own brand.

Their own brand "Trap" is sold for over 20 years for about 25-40Euros a board, I doubt that price can be achived by using German manual labor.
The first batch of Polar was trough MDCN and they switched as Pontus was could not stand the production conditions (he claimed that in some interview).

Hello Steffen as you see we did answer.
And no we won't give the name of our woodshop, simply because we are protecting our sourcing.
Boards are in hard maple / 7 ply / Epoxy glue, we use OUR shape that WE design. Then if you have any complain about the quality, WE at Antiz skateboards are all hears and open to all comment you can gave us on our product.

I ll happy to help

Cheers

Wow we now know you do not use plywood.
If you would not use Jart or some Chinese factory you would state this, as it would be major selling point.

Why resurrect the 2018 thread instead of using the 2019 thread?

I ask that as if there's some logical reasoning, but I know there isn't.
