I'm usually the first to hate on Dill but this one and his bob shirt interview are slowly changing my opinion of him

Also that decapitating accident:

When I was a kid I saw something similar happen.

Long story short:
I had eye cancer as a kid and was in an out of the hospital more often than not. One day I had a check-up and my dad drove us to the hospital (which was about an hour drive). On our way there was a traffic jam and around us traffic was calmly slowing down. I was around 6 years old, and I was playing with my he-man toys in the back.

We were kind of in the back of the traffic jam and right next us a beige Peugeot (I'll NEVER forget that...) car stopped and one of a sudden a loud impact was heard. I thought I was about to die...

I jumped up by the noise and when I looked to the right to see what happened I saw a crashed Peugeot and a dude on a motorcycle with his head dangling off his body... blood everywhere.

Dad called the ambulance from a telephonepole (pre cellphones kids!) and my mom tried walking me away from it all. And I was in shock and needed therapy for a while after that.

Dude was NOT paying attention at all, and drove full speed into the car next to us and hit his neck on the glass that was around the front of his steer.

Didn't make it.
It was literally impossible to survive that.

I fucking love the man but he loves talking over and over about his shit in that way where he acts like he doesn't care. I think iv'e heard the same Dill tales more than any other skater, but i keep wanting to watch all his interviews? Ah well, at least he admits he's narcissistic.

Didn't really understand the bit about him worrying about 'his kids'. I'm sure they're alright in the grand scheme of things and can handle themselves.

The part about him wanting to be called Mohammed had me dying .

Also, do you reckon they got him the Winnie the Pooh book cause they knew he would never wear the nine club gear. It's almost like they were scared they were going to get the piss ripped out of them for their own product.

Love you Dill, inevitable influence.

Allen.

When I was a kid I saw a guy on a motorcycle trying to skip traffic by driving in the shoulder clotheslines himself on a tractor trailer that was turning onto the main road. He went all head and only head into the side of it, and his bike and the rest of him kept moving forward. It was like his helmet just popped off and bounced off the road, but it had his head in it. Just about everyone got out of their cars to check it out since we were stopped, but I stayed in the car because I was like 7 and didn't have much to offer in terms of help. I really remember how bad it smelled when traffic started moving again and we drove past it. His body and bike made it probably 200 feet before it fell over. Pretty impressive.

If your company moves to Irvine - run.

Haha

Really like the drug and sober up talk. A little more in depth than his other interviews.

That was awesome, Dill is a character. I normally cringe of the thought of him, my views of him are different.
I enjoy him and I might buy a FA deck one day.

Great episode, Dill seems to be a little more self-aware these days and it makes him a lot more likable. I know FA catches a lot of flack, but I like nearly all of their graphics and I enjoy their a e s t h e t i c overall. Dill sounds like he's been through some shit and I love hearing about it.

i was a huge Dill fan as a kid and i've definitely talked my fair of shit on him the past couple years, but man, deep down i love that dude.  as people have said he is definitely more selfaware or at least sounding like it, realizes his lameness and is making good on it.  I love his fuck the industry attidude.  In some ways i see FA similar to primitive, i know that sounds insane, but they both started as underdawgs from big time skateboarders who didnt like the way the companies were being run and decided to pick up some underdogs.

Also curious who the kook on real was
where is home?

When he was talking about how hard he works and how he does the work in his dreams. I thought dude your not alone, it's like anyone having any full time job. He said something along the lines of "I'm cutting and gluing, it's hard work". Cutting and gluing is not hard.

I understand your logic, however you are forgetting the owning/running a business part and that is huge.  Especially given that there are only 6 employees, I guarantee you that he has to work his ass off...and he has to be a creative director on top of all of that, which adds stress.  I work a full time job in addition to owning a business (of which most of the weight still falls on my business parter) and the 9 to 5 job feels like nothing by comparison.  You really can't compare working a job to running a company.
