I used to skate I Path all the time, mostly the Cats. Anyone who says they were unskatable simply don't know what they're talking about, they skated better than half the chunky garbage at the time. Same with the Grasshopper and Matt Field Yogi's, they were all awesome to skate in.

I would buy some for nostalgia purposes, similar to how I would buy a pair of Stevie Williams' first DC pro model or some Lynx...

Ipaths were the only skate shoes comfortable for people with wide feet.
Though many of their models do not accommodate a high instep.

Vulc Cats and Vibram Cats were sick. I still have a pair of Vibram Adams in my closet. I'd buy another pair of Cats again.

I had a two year stretch where I skated Grasshoppers almost exclusively. You could order them on their website for $25-35 a pair. The soles always wore out super quick, but they are some of my all time favorite skate shoes

At the time I thought these were the coolest looking shoes available

Ipath is maybe my favorite shoe company period, but I have very little faith in any sort of reboot being of any real worth. I just don’t see them getting right what was fucked up the second time around.

Looks like they'll be re-releasing the Reed. Still skeptical about the brand as a whole but at least they aren't only making Cats like it seemed before.

whats worse is the origin of the cats shoe. matt rodriguez designed the model and came up with the name, it was supposed to be his pro model, but they decided they wanted it as one of the first 3 team models. the cats was ipaths most successful shoe and they cut matt rodriguez out of it being his, despite him designing and naming it. years later they finally put his name on a limited run of some called the cat-rod.

While by all of Matt's accounts, he is responsible for that shoe becoming part of their line, Matt Rodriguez did not design the Clarks Wallabee, nor did he design I-Path's knockoff of it.

Also, those Reeds pictured above came out in 2012.

when I first got mine (denim-vanilla colorway) I originally was gonna keep them as just collectors Items...after a year I broke down and skated them, since I was unemployed and needed new skate shoes. Shoe was dope as fuck to skate in, skated them to death...wish I had gotten 2pairs

I had that pair of Panthers and a pair of black leather ones. Loved that shoe. A guy I knew used to make fun of them and call them elf shoes. So sick.
