For a little while, Pappalardo was heavily promoting Fred Perry as skate shoes on his instagram.

I'm feeling those Fred Perrys. Nike GT upper. The shape is really good. Would look cool on a classic cupsole.

I know it's been mentioned on another page too but seriously the Sambas are the greatest. Put some super glue on the toecap seams, put in a more cushiony insole and they're better than 75% of the other shoes I've had. Plus they're so easy to find for cheap on ebay, thrift stores, or all those mercari/depop type sites.

Those Reeboks are fresh. The sole definitely looks tippy though.

And those Asics look great. I had a friend who skated the Asics Top Seven before, and I've seen photos of Joey Pepper skating them, but these look better. What is the model name?

For reference, this is the Top Seven:

adrien williams skated some trippy models in this, at 1:00 some phat reeboks, idk what model

I feel like those Reeboks might have been the Phase 1 that someone posted earlier but with a black sole maybe?

Was he also skating Airspeeds and X Games shoes?

This is an interesting thread. I used to skate the non SB dunks and had so much luck with them.
I've always thought soccer shoes would make good skate shoes.... it makes sense, they use their feet and can not afford injuries. So they have low profile soles and the like... having said that my foot never fits in any damn soccer shoe.. they are always too thin. As are most skate shoes for me.

Airspeeds yes, he was spons'd by them at one point.

Also, do yourself a favor and don't wonder what he's been up to.

Posting in all caps and referring to himself in the third person. I also think he thinks he’s a rapper now.

I’m wrong. He rides for Snack. I don’t know who I’m thinking of.

I’m the last person to have some boost shoes. These are so comfortable. The harden vol 1 looks skateable. Will report back if I can find some.

I'm trying the Nike Davinho out, just one session so far. I don't think I've seen anyone talk about them or skate them ever? Probably wrong on that. I have two pairs, I skated the other pair, not this pair:

The toe stitching already blew out after a few kickflip attempts, so I doubt they'll last long. But they fit and look great - I have a thinner foot so they're really comfortable - and have great grip.  A lot of soccer shoes or athletic shoes aren't too grippy, but these are.

I was actually visiting a friend a few months ago who works at a "family" shoe store or whatever in my hometown. They had a pair of Nike Davinho's in the athletic shoe section and actually tried on a pair. I remember the sizing being a little strange, but being suprised at how they looked in skatability. I also think they look cool too. I never bought a pair but now you got me thinking about it. I just looked and you can find them for super cheap.

For sure, try them out if you can afford them. If they don't skate well, they're great casual shoes as well.

Adidas continental 80s. They flick exactly like dunks minus the break in time and stiffness and are a lot lighter and grippier.

I haven't tried them that much yet for skating, but Hummel Stadil handball shoes seem decent and I like how they look.

Ahaha I'm skating chopped down Jordan 1s right now and when those are done I'm gonna skate that exact same pair of Pumas. Both great skate shoes. I've skated the Pumas a few times already.
