Bruin max is one of my new favorite shoes to skate. one piece inner booty is definitely comfortable. totally agree with what's said here, and I kind of want another pair but they're still like 70 or even 80 most places

Found some Adidas indoor super at an outlet for¥3500 ($30us) recently and had my first skate in them today.
Probably the best board feel straight out of the box of any shoe I've ever had. It was my first session on a new board too and I usually feel hell awkward when new shoes and board line up like a solar eclipse.
Curious to see how they go for durability but heaps of (ugly) flip tricks today and looking good so far.

Funny you should post this. I skated these Adidas Messi for a few sessions and was actually surprised, I really liked them. Crazy comfortable and amazing fit. Flex points are great, heel lock perfect. They actually skate just like the Huf Dylan, overall shape and fit are almost identical.

I find it hilarious how similar those two vastly different shoes are.
It's like movies where two brothers are separated in their youth and one becomes a cop a the other one becomes a gangster but they are uncannily similar in undeniable ways.

A post in another thread reminded me of these fresh Saucony Hangtimes I skated 11 or 12 years ago. They were really fun.

I also got these vulcanized Sauconys in Japan, bought two pair of them and still have one pair sitting at home. It's called the "Master Hi Toppo". Basically this exact colourway but the logo is gold.

those sauconys kind of reminded me of these gravis lowdowns i used to get circa 2004, before they had a skate program, i had a "lifestyle" hookup. there was a japan only version with a rounder toe that i could never get them to send me. i skated some truly horrible models but these were decent

That Reebok has an ankle roller sole. I'd say Club C's, Revenge etc have a better sole for skating and almost identical upper.

Came to this thread to post these shoes. Seems like they would skate really well and they have this really dense gum sole that looks like it would last a lifetime. Plus they're just cool looking. Might have to just buy a pair to have around.

Those Reeboks are fresh. The sole definitely looks tippy though.

And those Asics look great. I had a friend who skated the Asics Top Seven before, and I've seen photos of Joey Pepper skating them, but these look better. What is the model name?

Haven’t. They look like they’d be sick. There is a ton of Jordan’s that look like they’d work well. Hoping someone chimes in with an opinion on them. I’ll try and find them in person.

I skated Jordan 1s all last summer and I'm assuming these would probably skate the same. Love the Jordan 1. Way better than a Dunk in my opinion. A lot less chunkier and the sole has better boardfeel.

It's been a long time since Simple Shoes were a skate brand but I scored a pair of these for $9.

They're a "simple" vulc shoe but i'm surprised by the quality of the tread and the memory foam insole, only skated them a bit but they skate a lot like classic vans and i'm just really digging the feel. Might want to check out their cupsoles too after these.

Oh I would definitely fuck with those Hi-Tec squash shoes. Mainly because I'm Canadian and have a soft spot for Hi-Tec because in the 90s grunge days we all used to rock Hi-Tec hiking boots with our cut off shorts with long underwear underneath that looked like this:

Still trying to find a pair in my size to wear now but I can only ever find them in women's.
