I’m skating in Flight 89’s again and I wish they’d keep making this shoe. They last forever and the ankle support is fantastic.

Coincidentally I was just talking to one of the Asics dudes today (check out how cool I am!) and asked about the EX89. He said the soles are super hard in them so boardfeel is kinda shit but they are developing a skate one right now.

They definitely look sick though.

Hard soles just tell me I get a year of solid chillers until I walk enough in them to break em in for skating  8)

I actually tried the lows like two years ago after an ankle injury and although they fit and were cool chillers when I skated them my toes would lose circulation and get numb. Take my experience with a grain of salt. Everyone has different shaped feet.

Definitely trying a pair of Asics EX89’s next, Asics always makes great product, those shoes look dope, and the company supports Novak Djokovic, which is a huge win.

I got an Asics package last week. As mentioned, the homie was right about the EX89s. They don't feel like they would be good for skating at all to me. The rubber is more stiff and hard than I assume most people would want to skate in. I also stood on my board to see how they would feel because they obviously would be sick to skate, but they don't grip good at all. Kinda just slide around because of the hardness of the rubber. Someone could skate them for sure, but I don't see the point. If they make the rubber softer on a skate version though they will be good to skate for sure. Probably about as thick as a Tiago 1010 in the upper and sole.

The Japan S is really good. Skated them for the first time yesterday. The sole is definitely thicker than I expected. I was expecting a thin cupsole like a Puma Suede or NB440 but they're thicker than that. Still feel good though, good grip and board feel. Maybe comparable in thickness to a Dunk but no obnoxiously puffy tongue. And I felt fresh in them for sure. Stoked to skate them some more.

They're definitely comfy chillers and they are gonna make a skate one.

I'm sure they are skateable depending on your preferences. Like if you could skate a DC Legacy you could skate these too but I just don't see why anyone would want to.

My Adidas Top Ten are breaking in so nicely. I have that classic white/red/blue that has a suede toe cap as well. Really wonderful shoe.

This seems similar to what the Saucony Jazz Court vs Spot Bilt Sonic would be like. Both look like theyd skate great but sonic is just a little too thicc.

Any one skate saucony court shoes?
flat spotted 3 times in 2 weeks, other than that awesome wheels

Top tens are amazing to skate! The cupsole is really grippy, flexible and has good boardfell. Just needs some super glue in the seams and you’re good to go.

Those Skycourts look good! I would fuck with a nice classic colour like this for sure:

Looks like they have the same sole as the Japan S, I've been really liking skating those. I've had maybe 8 sessions in them and they're showing barely any sign of wear. I thought maybe they would just blow out because of where the toe piece dips down but I've been surprised with how well they're lasting.

Keep in mind that I'm 45 so my sessions aren't that crazy any more although I do only skate street, mainly ledges so I am ollieing into most of my tricks, not slashing a quarter pipe. Still warming up my kickflips after a whole winter off though.

Any one skate saucony court shoes?

I skated a pair of Hangtimes in 2007. They were good, would definitely skate some lows if I could find some now.

The Jazz Court looks super good but I can never find them for a good price.

Yea ur correct Asics japan s and skycourt are the same sole,

Saucony jazz court does look very skateable
I just started wearing a pair of Saucony shadow 6000 for chillers and they are very very comfortable
I bet the jazz court sole is cushioned well and grippy with that gum herringbone tread too

Seen some dudes skating (on insta) the jordan stadium 90,  wouldn't mind having a look at them
But they are very pricey for what they are.  Maybe one day on sale for that one,
looks like something Lavar would of skated at the pier,  well in in my head anyway  :P
