^^ It seems strange that Santa Cruz/whoever at SLAP deleted the thread would think it wouldn't pop right back up. ^^
I wonder who else has been pressured to delete their JJ articles/posts.
all bad economic things are inside jobs or the result of the fed (which also makes them an inside job)
universities are destroying our country, specifically the social sciences
This is my last response to you, unless you want to read an actual political theory book or an actual history book with me. I am willing to do that, but discussing youtube/AM radio conspiracies is beyond tiresome. Moreover, your perspective which is perpetually based in extreme fear, antipathy, distrust, anger, and so on against anything outside of the far-right is exhausting.
First, "the market crash of 1929 was set up, the housing crash was set up, the fed is responsible for anything bad in the economy." No. This is incorrect. Bad things can happen in the world without a mastermind behind them.
Second, "universities are corrupting our youth and ruining everything." Also, no. Specifically, the majority of syllabi I see for political science theory mention the same standard theorists over and over again Mill, Locke, Hobbes, Plato, Kant, Rousseau, Rawls, Smith, Marx, Tocqueville, Nietzsche, Weber, Machiavelli, and so on. Also, these anti-university statements worry me as the German's developed a strong anti-university sentiment as the Nazis rose to power. Not surprisingly along with Einstein, Adorno, Horkheimer, Marcuse had to flee from Nazi Germany (aren't these the same philosophers you have been taught to hate?)
Third, the false flag argument is the absolute best way to dismiss any events that might provide evidence against something you want to believe in or need to believe in order to maintain your (far-right) identity. These false flag arguments are nothing short of disgusting and absurd. Once again, this conversation bums me out, because I feel bad that your outlook on life leads you to believe that someone is always trying to pull something over on someone else. I honestly don't know how someone with so little trust in other people can make it through the day (not to mention capitalism requires us to trust that others are smarter than us in some areas of life and rely on them. The division of labor is part of the reason contemporary societies are successful).
Fourth, chasing after a moving goal post is exhausting. When it comes to your F. School conspiracy, the idea is that we lived in harmony before the day their scary ideas got loose, which is wrong. America has always been divided. If we only look at relations between whites and blacks it is hard to ever see that time when everyone was equal and had equal opportunity. Throughout slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, and the present things were never great by any stretch of the imagination. And, before someone says, "Uhh, in the 90s everything was great." Yea, when Timothy McVeigh blew up the OK City building in an attempt to start a race war things were going awesomely.
Fifth, as for the bankers not going to jail. I wish those who are part of the tabloid-right wing were there to speak up about punishing those with power 2008/2009/2010/2011. Instead, all I heard was how we needed the bankers and we couldn't threaten them because they might leave. We needed them so badly that Obama's attempt of limiting their salary or not allowing bonuses was deemed as criminal by the tabloid news network. I hope you are angry at Lou Dobbs for promoting the idea that foreclosing on homes as fast as possible was the best thing for the economy and refuse to listen to any of his ideas today (
