How do you ollie and do tricks of steep kickers?

At my local park, there is a kicker thats more of a quarterpipe, really.
Its very steep. I cant figure out how or where to time my ollies/tricks. Usually I just ghost pop... Any tips?

Go there at night, take your shirt of and cuddle with the kicker in an attentive/submissive way

  Pretend you're a motocross bike.  You gotta tighten up a bit and hit it fast but still pop (or more "hit" youre tail).  You cant try to launch yourself up like one would on a mellow kicker and besides you don't need to cause the steepness will lauch you. You just got to basically start popping your 'ghost ollies' a bit and they'll grow from that.  I remember when I got it and its fun.
