I've been skating a 15" WB for several months now, but over the weekend I set up a shorter board with about a 14.125" WB. While in general it felt a little cramped, I noticed right away that my nollies and switch ollies had way more pop than they usually do.
It could be that the shorter board is about 1/4" narrower and thus lighter, or that I was having a good day, or whatever, but the difference felt pretty crazy to me. And it seems counterintuitive that I would feel more comfortable skating switch on something that would normally feel less stable.
Anyone notice anything like this before?
