Stage 9’s were not the last trucks to say USA on the bottom. In fact, Stage 11’s still said USA for awhile before they started sourcing everything besides the hangers and baseplates from China. That’s when the USA stamp disappeared by law.
There are plenty of truck companies that pour their aluminum in China. Theeve, Ace, Krux, others I’m forgetting at the moment. To be honest, the new casting on those all-China Indy’s looks much better. Their trucks have looked sloppy for many years, including Thunders since both are...were poured at Ermico along with Venture. China trucks have always seemed to have a very smooth neat casting to them compared to USA ones.
I’m riding the newest design Ace’s with no top bushings and two top washers instead, and have been beating the hell out of them and they’re perfectly fine. I think the whole China aluminum is inferior mentality is exaggerated. While I agree anything USA made is what we should be supporting, the sad fact is Tracker is the only company making 100% USA made trucks in 2018. And no one rides them for a reason, they turn slower than Indy’s already shitty turn.
Long live Stage 7-8 Indy’s. They weighed a ton of bricks but they had a great geometry. Use eBay and you’ll still find some sets. Otherwise, Ace.
