I like riding down hills but im no good at the powersliding....especially now that im skating 60mm pool wheels.....they don't slide super good...
speed wobbles will usually work themselves out if you stay on the board and don't start running full speed smacking your feet on the hill

I have the biggest hill next to my house thing is steeper then some s.f. hills for sure so my cussion was over and we went to the top to skate a ditch and when we were coming down my cuz thinks to bomb it and i just walk.....so bad still was some big ass scars and that was 2 years ago

i was out skating by myself and i went to this hill near my house, The hill starts off mellow until you really start to pick up speed then it drops to one gnarley hill and at the very bottom is a road leading off. So one day i decided to take my brand new complete with loose ass trucks and my ipod and went down. I was hauling so much ass until I started to get speed wobbles. I already knew about leaning on the front foot and standing straight up so i could make it down. Then, this car pulled up to the road i was bombing and ran the stop sign and pulled out in front of me. So i panicked and jumped off the board into a baseball slide, which soon transformed into me sliding on my stomach with my feet facing foreward. I used my momentum to pop to my feet to add style points.

Long story short, i ended up breaking 2 bones in my right hand and got road rash through all the skin layers into the muscle.

Showering and masturbating were put on hold for a while

Just for the record guys. Not pointing fingers or anything but that's not a hill bomb. A hill bomb is when you go straight down the hill
and don't slide or put your feet down. It's really crazy and have done them before. The craziest shit is first your getting all shaky and
know that one false move and you're toast. Then, you're coming up to an intersection and you're already thinking about oncoming
cars. So you gotta edge your eyes around the corner and if you see one you gotta wave your arms to make sure he sees you. Fucking
nuts! I'd never straight bomb a hill again. Too risky. I will say though... there's plenty of thrasher style punk dudes who you'd think would
blow past me but it was the other way around. I think Phelps came in last next to Lockman, who was a fucking snail. The craziest one
I ever saw was Sean Youngs hill bomb in the rain. Nothing will ever compare in crazyness. Then again, I don't follow every feat anymore.

When I was a kid, I bailed at the bottom of a big hill. Tried to run it out, but that turned into a front flip. I finally came to a stop balled up in the gutter at the bottom of the hill. Now, that by itself is no different than a million other hilll bomb wipe out stories except for the fact that in addition to the road rash everywhere you'd expect to find it, to my amazement I realized that my head was scraped BEHIND my ear! My ear was perfectly fine...untouched. How the fuck that happened, I'll never know. But that's the type of mysterious shit that can happen when hill bombing goes bad.

On my big slam I had a concussion and was going into convulsions. Everyone tried to wake me up... that is after they got their slow ass there
I supposively butt boarded the rest of the hill and ate pizza and kept asking the same question over and over... "see me fall?" I didn't remember the fall or anything after that.
I do remember waking up with a head ache not knowing how I got home.

a friend of mine who usually doesn't skate bombed a hill last week and fell.

Sympathies, but there seems to be this (understandable, I guess) idea that these 'useless wooden toys' are just that. So who cares if you aren't experienced? What's the worse that can happen if I burn down that hill up near my joint?

My nephew is a classic example. No matter what I would tell him, he kept seeing it as just a cool toy. Then he really hurt himself and balled his eyes out in front of a whole heap of people. Now I'm not one to say I told you so, but...
