The thing that people like to leave out in the "skateboarding has changed" thread that's happened countless times, is that people are skating at such a high level now and that came along with some of the changes. Watching a professional right now and dude being that good sometimes gets thrown out the wayside when you just watch internet clip after clip. I still try to go to demos just to remind myself that these people are unbelievable.

No fucking way.  You don't have to look very far to meet good motherfuckers who love skating.  Skate shops, parks, spots etc. I am always running into rad new people.  Ironically, the worst part of skating seems to be internet forums.

Hey, while I have people's attention, does anyone know where I can get some Under Armour for cheap.  Thanks! Fuckin' yoked!

All the money, dipshit attitudes (by young and old a like), all the typical sport branding (i.e. brand acceptance (nike/adidas/dada/fila/fubu/sean jean/cheap monday/hamburger pizza, etc), even the gayness of acceptance by older skateboard peers who still reclaim lost glory or none there was to have in the sake of rumors and money. Been starting to think the act of skating is cool, but the unintentional lameness surrounding it has some wack ass feel. Over exposure? Industry bull? What have you. Don't hate it, but definitely don't feel the love anymore. Maybe I should start rollerblading?!?!?!? or retire to Kentucky and become a gunsmith. Thoughts other than ipad tapping typical internet banter faggotry?

Matt, no sense of humor? If you're older than a cum rag from 1991 you would get the dumb ass value.

I don't find anything funny about those clothing companies.
Those clothes are the uniform of the people undergoing the struggle.
And their is nothing funny about the struggle.
I dont recall ever putting on anything Southpole in my life.

There's no way I'm even going to try and read your post, that gif of yours keeps blinding me.
Check out my original thought: Chris Cole does some ugly tricks and has wack kit! I'm super edgy and interesting because of my controversial opinions.

QFT! and fuck yeah dude, your local TJ Max.

Just a feeling that younger kids who aren't on their ass playing Xbox all the time (ie skateboarders) are more or less jocks themselves. think about it, you got a generation of kids hooked to online xbox / internet / technology in general. Obesity rates are always climbing. Jocks are just dudes that are in shape and fit.
