We're all 'over' skateboarding personality documentaries. Since the Gator film, they've become trite and formulaic but Lee Ralph deserves his moment.

So RAW!
There were some gnarly pics of him back in all those issue of "Skatin Life" and "Slam" back in the day.
I'm sure they are a few Aussies out there sitting on piles of them.
Would love to hear all his crazy stories too, I vaguely remember reading one where he back flipped (or at least attempted to multiple times) on a vert ramp way back in the mid '80s. He was on some Tom Penny shit though; total master of his craft/ could literally do anything he wanted to in his prime so I can sort of believe it!

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

It would be great if I didn't have to use the word aggro, but I can't think of a better word.
This is one of the most aggro photos from the 80's.  No one should be able to blast that high, on that ramp.

Who is on the deck?  Chris Miller.  Ben Schroeder?
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?

The facial expressions in this are brilliant. Looks like he is trying to kill the ramp.

heard from kids who know him that indy changed their original template and sucked now [maybe 8 yrs ago?] and joey tershay [i believe, maybe somebody else] grabbed the old indy template and started ace trucks so julien and a few people who know what's up jumped ship to continue riding what they're used to. heard from someone else that indy realized the err in their ways and went back to the old indies kind of like 'new coke' sucked so they returned to 'coke classic'.
what do i know though, i ride royal trux like junkie nurse.

Stranger has been riding Ace since they were born. Joey Tershay, the founder, used to work for Indy and took one of the best designs and tweaked it to what is now known as Ace trucks. He lowered the kingpin and absolutely destroyed independent with his design and it's what forced Indy to come out with the stage 11, which still turns like shit. People who are stuck on "Indy for life!" crack me up. Overrated trucks that don't turn.
