Just got that same Carroll board as a cruiser set up too. Can't wait to skate it.[close]How are you liking this board? Does the tail seem short to you? I've hardly skated it yet, but the first time I tried to ollie on it I ate shit going super fast over a manhole because the tail was shorter than I expected, and I didn't even pop.[close]Now that you mention it the tail looks really short. Thought it was just the photo's perspective on first glance.[close]I've stepped on it at FTC, it's short as hell[close]After skating it for a little longer, it turns out it's pretty much impossible to do a good ollie. I might try to drill some new holes a little bit closer to the middle, hopefully I don't fuck it up too bad.[close]Yeah that tail is mad short. The more I've skated it though the more I've gotten a little more used to it.

Fresh phattyWelcome slappy slapNew 169'sOld mandersons 56mmAssorted bearingsRisersBones medium with bottom washer to keep stock height/geometryNot really a cruiser but I figured I'd show it here with the shaped boards and whatnot. The shape is beautiful and apparently based on an early 90's Blind/Gonz board. Thing's fucking fun

[close]They're a small, local company out of SoCal run by Russ Pope. They seem to have developed a regional cult following out there amongst the 30+, #curbcrushers, slappy Sunday set. Awesome shapes, with really Unique graphics. Russ hand paints and cuts most of his prototypes with Paul at PS Stix, who then presses up the batch. There was enough snow melt over the weekend that I was able to get out for a low-key cruise last night. Shape/wheelbase felt great.

I have the 58 neon green ones.

The Slappy Slap has been a "get me wet" shape for sometime now.Not as a cruiser, but as a main board. Love 1991 shapes! 1991 was the year of the 4 wheeled magic that bloomed skateboarding to be what it is today!
