Bday present from my girl.
Wanted to skate a WKND board already for way too long but you can't find them around here. Some wax never hurts.

I just ordered some 50mm conical lil smokies. The older I get, the closer to the ground I need to be.

They’re so damn fun too; I’m in love with them.
Being less spendy while having a superior (read: minimal) graphic makes them a no-brainer for me when it comes to choosifying smaller wheels.
Reducing waste is another plus.

I love you, li’l smokies!

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

Do Ace Hollow bolts sound different?

Not like a hollow kingpin or axle if at all. The holes are tiny. IDK what I was thinking maybe that they looked cool? They do their job and the flanges in the head might be nice but I don't really have hardware issues in general.

Used my skate warehouse settlement money since I figured they're not doing site wide sales this year. Got some 58mm conical fulls, bones Swiss, bronze 56 hardware and some axle nuts. Just need some v-cast and a violet deck

Got some Thunder 97 bushings. This is after trying 94a and Bones hard bushings. Hoping this solves my bushing madness. If this doesn’t work I might try some Indy bushings next.

8.25
Not a fan of Santa Cruz by any means but Asta seems like a nice guy and a huge nerd so that's a plus. Sure Flip is not what it used to be but that classic Flip HKD thing has a soft spot in my heart and both boards were mad cheap

There is still the 100a thunders to try ;0

I didn't feel much diff between the 94/97s (or bones) but did when I jumped to 100a (the black rebuild kit ones) and have been having great luck with them. It's crazy how thunders vs any other truck I've ridden retain their characteristics the harder the bushings...I still wheeltbite on the 100s but it's much less and they still turn/act like a thunder so not much is lost (they're more rigid than tight now). I can throw 96a indys into indys and they don't turn at all/lose all indy characteristics (same for when I slapped in ace hards in the ACE lows).

Everyone just seems to not fuck with thunder bushings (due to the height of the bottom bushing issue) you never really see (on this forum anyway) talk of the 97/100a for those that have WB issues (I was one of them for the longest time).
