I've never been a fan of Zach Kassian until lastnight.

What a performance! He was out there punishing everything in his path, like some runaway freight train. Sobriety and conditioning has served him well.

As much as I want to see the Habs bounced asap they deserved to win lastnight's game.

Minnesota sports as a whole really are cursed. God just hates us. Did anyone see Polak's injury yesterday? That was nasty, I hope it doesn't end his career, but there have to be some torn ligaments in there. That was awful.

Oh that's a blown out ACL MCL for certain. Having a similar injury I cringed hard.

All the Canadian teams will be eliminated in the 1st round, mark my words.

I've been saying for awhile a Canadian team will never win the cup ever again.....

It's always gross to see the skate fold 180 degrees behind the player like that. Not surprised it came as a result of a Brooks Orpik hit (despite the fact it was a clean hit).

Wild being a team that plays a defense first system while lacking scorers is catching up to them. Jake Allen standing on his head doesn't help either. Bruins are in somewhat of a similar situation in that they lack major scorers outside the top line, but at least with the Bruins that top line is likely top 3 in the entire league (Maybe even tops  - Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak).

Similar thing here, broke my ankle in february and I'm still five and a half weeks out from walking thanks to a disconnected ligament. I can't imagine how bad a totally blown out ligament must be. Speedy recovery to both of you guys

We definitely have scorers, but we have so many that it's spread out. Staal led the team with only 28 goals, but we were 2nd in the league in goals for. I'm really conflicted over Jake Allen though. Living in the Chicagoland area, I'm a Chicago Wolves fan so I'm glad to see a product of their system doing so well in the league (Eddie Lack too, for that matter), I just wish it wasn't against my team.

Fuck, heal up quick man!

My knee injury is fucked, specialist says at least a year and there is a possibility I'll never fully recover. I do physio 4x a day and after 4 months I just took my first steps without crutches. I still need them but I was starting to think I might not ever walk again, scary shit.

I cant even begin to describe the pain. It's 24/7 for the first few months. So bad opiates hardly help and you can't eat or sleep.

Good news for polak is Im sure he'll get better medical care than me lol.

Don't sleep on the leafs guys. They are a year or so behind the oilers in development. Clearly they won't win the cup this year but they'll be strong contenders over the next few years.

Looks like Pitts is gonna sweep, big advantage for them IF the caps/Chicago make it out of the first round

Toronto fans generally speaking annoy the ever living fuck out of me, but part of me wants to see them upset the Caps just for how incredible it would be.

If that does not happen then I hope Caps and Pens absolutely decimate each other in the following round.

I wouldn't mind seeing Edmonton or St. Louis win it all.

I just don't dig how similar the Sens fans resemble Montreal fans since the start of this series.

Generally Bruins fans and Sens fans get along relatively well, and there were times in recent years when we'd consider each other "brothers from a different mother". That is proving not to be the case, and frankly I can't stand Guy Boucher's brand of hockey.

As a Flyers fan, fuck the pens!  Now that that's out of the way, the playoffs have been a lot of fun to watch this year.  I'm pulling for Toronto since CBJ is blowing it, but mostly I can't wait to see some of the Flyers prospects (especially Lindblom and Meyers) next year.  Ivan Provorov is already looking like a Norris trophy type player and that's with Andy Macdonald (worthless junk) as his d partner.

Edit:  that shift Matthews just scored on with the two huge hits was awesome

Kadris two hits basically won that game. Huge momentum shift. It was a nail biter though.

Taking the caps to ot in three consecutive games bodes well for Toronto. I bet the caps are mighty frustrated

Glad to see the Wild win with Dubnyk getting the shutout. Hopefully we can win at the X on Saturday, which will no doubt be extremely rowdy

The Hawks were gassed...they've played a lot of hockey in the last 5 years plus....they don't have the supporting cast they've had in the past... And Nashville played great....

I'm liking the caps and the leafs series best....still not sure if the caps are the best team out of the lot...they can be slow...

Thought the Penguins were done without letang....nope.

Yep, great series! I was bummed the leafs lost in ot but I loved kadris hit on ovie! He sure likes to dish it out but gets pissed when he gets hammered.

Rinne was a beast in the Chicago series. Hot goaltender in the playoffs is the best. Nashville is high on the list of do not wanna play against now
