ive got a pentax k-x, stormtrooper white haha..

i went for it because it had the best iso-range and frame-rate in my price class (also, it was my first dslr, so i didnt want to spent 1k+), and im really happy with it because i LOVE the old manual pentax prime-lenses (i prefer primes anyway, zooms are so 90s haha). also, its rather small which is good for travelling light, i really do miss a battery grip though.

im still not completely sure if i will stay with pentax though, the new K5 looks stunning, but i havent done any work with external flashes yet (hopefully soon), if it passes that test, im happy.

Damn...a league of your own. It's not often I find people with Pentax DLRS but I guess if you are spending +$500 on a camera, it should take some decent photos. I actually ran into a guy that had those Sony Alpha cameras and he spent tons of money on all Sony gear and lenses. To me, it just seems more logical to get a Nikon or Canon since there are that many more lenses for the cameras.

And I am surprised (but happy) that other more popular companies haven't made colored DLSRs. Pentax has some crazy products:

haha yeah, those colored ones are so damn crazy, but i saw the black one live as well and the white one seemed... less plasticky. that lens-thing was exactly one of the reasons why i chose pentax, since they havent changed their mount in some 40 years and i wanted to shoot manual mostly anyway.

This is a swamp at the end of my friends neighborhood, it's generally super clear and you can see across it to the other town, but it was super foggy yesterday.

Shot from my friends window in Brooklyn.

Non-fisheye film photos from NYC coming soon.

There was a one night camping trip for the solstice eclipse, I didn't really get any digital shots of that because I was using my 4x5, but all of those are from the past couple weeks or so.

For those who liked the Tajikistan photos. We also made a few small clips from our trip, with the one about the capital, Dushanbe, being the first.
My buddy filmed and edited it, I am hosting them.

I think it might not be the Guggenheim, but the Walt Disney concert hall in L.A., which, in your defense, are both from Frank Gehry.

it's like a holga: you don't make a single picture that looks bad.

edit: it doesn't mean that this app isn't amazing. but it makes it quite easy to make a good picture.
