I will never personally support or endorse Edglrd because Harmony Korine is an overrated hack but get that money Mike.

As much as I absolutely hate the idea of EdgLrd, and to a greater extreme, the idea of Mike Arnold skating for them... I can't say I blame him for dipping out on Isle. If I were sponsored (especially pro) and my board sponsor had done fuckall after announcing a "relaunch" over a year ago, I'd be pretty fuckin' keen on finding a new home, too.

If only Atlantic Drift skateboards had come to fruition...

Isle was super similar and unfortunately didn't really sell. Not sure if it was their distributorship or what, but why would AD be any different?

AD, to me, was everything Isle could have been. Naturally, they shared aesthetics because AD had all of the Isle guys involved prior to their shuttering on top of Jacob Elliot Harris being the one filming and editing it all.
AD had more of a presence than Isle ever had, and I think that’s what would have made the difference. Consistent output in a time of constant consumption is high on the list of what will make things work regarding drawing interest and attention, which hopefully would lead to higher sales.  (i.e. Limosine putting out edits with each new drop)
The fact that Isle dropped “Vase” and did fuckall after tells us all we need to know about why it didn’t work.
