What hat is best?
« on: November 08, 2023, 11:51:25 AM »
The Black Friday thread is awesome, but it just isn’t specific enough.

Some of us want hats. What hats should we get? I am looking for 100% cotton with good shade on my forehead, and breathability for those hot summer days.

Trucker style really fits my head well, and dad hats just don’t work well… I really need something that accents my head.

Thanks. Really hoping this thread can land 100 pages in a few years.
I’m not letting my YouTube algorithm anywhere near that video.

[I don't wanna show those other hats yet.

You should get something like this.

Customer limited olour runs are #1

It has a flaw tho. I could fix but I never rock it

I keep it secret I keep it safe

Got it at my favorite store long ago UGG. Underground Hip Hop was the most punk rock store in 2000s Boston.

I really like the short brim hats that Theories makes. Really comfortable and they look good.

This talk of hats is really engaging. There have been some fine points made. I look forward to getting a good hat. Thank you

One point that has not been discussed: number of panels. I feel like five panels is a good number, but six might work as well.

And excellent point on the two fingers of brim. That’s key. But for me, five might do better.

A search for a hat is a very personal one, and the One can be elusive, so i can not provide any insight here.  But the worst one is by far that stupid fucking long brimmed piece of shit that that little dipshit in the sandlot wears!  Really hate that fucking thing!

Are the panels stamped "IV" under the sweatband? If they are, they're going to be too steep for five fingers of flat. Your hairline will ghost pop. Look for the "II" stamp, 5 panels, and 3 fingers of flat. Trust me.

This is the correct answer. No further comments will be accepted.

(Though thank you all for the very fine hat suggestions.)

I have a size 7 5/8 hat size
My favorite hat is the polar lightweight hat, great material and color
For beanies I like the sci fi ones that are two tone
But my favorite one is a similar one from subsect

Well folks. 100% cotton. Good form. Antihero DLX support. Local shop support. SnapBack, but eh… good for getting sweaty.

Solid buy. Happy.

Solid hat you got there. Sorry I didn’t say so earlier.

Better loose than too tight! Like trucks.

Tight trucks are like wearing no hat on a hot sunny day: completely useless and bad form.
