All suicides are grim, even if you're frontside flipping of a bridge. What's more grim is surviving the attempt and having to live with the consequences. A gun just has a much better success rate. However, I think dying in my sleep or OD'ing would be the most pleasant way to go, but since I don't do hard drugs I can only hope for an aneurysm or heart attack while I'm asleep.
Now picture Tom Penny doing this after finding out he has stage 4 lymphoma not so grim huh? maybe even badass?

I think OP means this is a thought experiment, not as a reality. As I said in my reply, even as a fifth grader, I thought it would be a great way to go out.
In reality, we will all die of old age, illness or disease, acts of god, substance abuse, or something else unknown to us at present.
Just have a good time skating around while you still can. Every day you have mobility is a great day. :)

I do no, I love skating but it’s not my whole life. I’ve studied my skate history and I love it but sometimes it’s good to take a step back and refresh. We both love it, and that’s great but you should try art or something else and not focus so much on one thing.

Last thing I remember was taking a big push halfway up the block from where it happened, it was a really nice day and I was just cruising to work. Maybe something like that. I like to do long several week adventures into the wild with a tent and a rucksack. This is cliché, but when I'll be old and I feel life has nothing more to offer, it would be cool to trek several hundred miles into a forest where no one can find me and then hang myself. I would send a farewell letter to any close ones I still have at that point, to tell them not to try to find me. Whether I'll have the balls or knees to do it is another thing.

My closest near-death experience was on my skateboard too. bombing a hill in San Francisco I was going so fast I couldn't bail I skipped over the tracks that were built in. into a parked BMW. A citizen rushed me and asked me if i was alive then went on saying he sees this weekly. It was caught on tape so at least I have that in the gnarliest road rash ever messed up thing is it was a four-way stop and but people that had the right of way were cross to me. a BMW crossed about 5 seconds after I bailed. Anyways if I bombed 5 seconds later I'd be dead

I barely avoided a gnarly head on collision last night driving home and this same thought has been in my head all day today. I do have a reinvigorated sense of life thing going now though so I’m really looking forward to my next sesh. Figure if I’m gonna get injured I want it to be on my board going for something fulfilling rather just being in a car and getting unlucky.

1. i invented calling people cuckolds. i've been doing it since 2005, after i looked up the word after watching the royal tenenbaums. i also pioneered having an actual cuckold fetish.
2. i specifically said suffering is real. don't tell me to educate myself, i got a fuckin BA in psychology. i was the top student at my uni and could have easily gone into counseling afterward, even had job offers without even getting my MA or MS, but i ducked out of that pseudoscientific profession real fast.
