Always loved Dennis Farina RIP… never heard of that one. You could browse and find films like that with relative ease… i will say these days i enjoy the Korean shows/movies.

I think it’s his last movie.

Found it for free with adds. He’s incredible in it.

Just watched SEVENTEEN on Le Cinema Club- great doc hanging out with a bunch of high school kids in the 80's.

Shout out @Audrey II  … Red Letter Media did a recent review of it… forgot how much i liked it. App Martin Scorsese almost directed it at one point. Really wish we could see a screenplay of that…

Two of the three black singers (forget their character names) went on to star in Martin.

I was put off by the RLM savaging of Mars Attacks and kinda avoided the newest ep for LSoH. I knew the soundtrack by heart (it's a WPIX thing) before the movie came out so I wasn't really there for those dudes to start tearing it down especially knowing it was a troubled production. Is this a review where they came not to bury but to praise?

I forgot ab that. I was most shocked Jay was trashing it of all of them…

But it’s Colin and Jay nerding out on it. Learned some cool little tidbits. High praise from both gents.. it’s a great episode.

Watched the French movie Fat Girl from 2001.  Highly recommend if you have the criterion channel. A bit of a slow burn that keeps you 100% sucked in with an ending that'll leave your jaw on the floor. It was awesome

Dude, great rec!
The less you know going in the better, for sure.  Went in blind and it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a theater.

Fuck yea RLM fans here on slap...those guys are great and loved that review.   I had this on repeat as a kid, it was crazy getting the back story and different endings for the first time.   Also amazed at how well to puppetry has aged.

Got back from seeing Mulholland Drive a bit ago

This theater by me is showing some Lynch movies this month

Saw Blue Velvet last week, planning to go to Wild at Heart & Lost Highway the next two weeks

They looked & sounded great on the big screen, especially Blue Velvet with Dean Hurley's re-work on the sound & music

Also seeing 8 1/2 this Saturday afternoon

Tonight's movie was Angst, another good one. 1980s Austrian serial killer story with awesome music and editing. True story as well

Massive fan of RLM, but @jakeumms pointed out they kind of shat on mars attacks! That def bummed me out. One of my childhood favorite films seems like it would be right up their alley…

I do really enjoy Jay referencing the most obscure indie Films randomly though. Like even just a quick cameo by an Actor, “he was also in yada yada which only has a laserdisc release” etc..

Just rewatched Drive, definitely one of my favourite films, it has this David Lynch like mystical quality to it but without anything actually supernatural in it. Could look at those images forever.

Top 25 or so for me…. The soundtrack is fantastic too.

I enjoyed the GameStop movie Dumb Money enough but it’s almost not a movie.  Craig Gillespie is good at what he does though he’s turning into budget Adam McKay.

Yeah it did seem very in the shadow of Big Short but I saw a trailer and it intrigued me when previously I was planning to ignore it (2nd time this year after Talk to Me - which is pretty rare)

Seems like a weird choice after I, Tonya and Cruella.

A Haunting in Venice is my favorite in the series so far.  The (potential) supernatural element does a lot to liven up the format.

I really want to go see that.

Mostly because I was just in Venice and I love Poirot.

I was really surprised with this movie too ! Was expecting a lot of cliche things from this type of movie but the movie felt really original, I really liked it

Equalizer 3 is going to be the ultimate plane movie, or lazy day streamer.  Otherwise it’s not very good.  I did enjoy myself though, it was pretty fun.
