I bought a pair of those leopard print Chucks from the converse outlet on Sunday, went to throw them on this morning and there were 2 right shoes in the box.

The Maranas will have many things better in them than a pair of Vans but boardfeel will definitely not be one of them.

Man, you weren't kidding. Definitely a learning curve, I definitely need to get used to them. I have tons of grip but I can barely tell where my feet are at any given time.
At this point, I think I’ve seen Bam’s penis more than my own.

You'll get used to it. Also breaking in shoes is really important IMO. I hate new shoes. I always break in my skate shoes by walking with them for a good while and almost always I think that the shoes I'm about to retire are the best ever because they're so one with the foot. Doesn't matter if it's a vulc or a cupsole. On cupsoles I really like the sturdiness and support and the fact that they're generally beefier. Feels more secure even though I don't jump down anything big at all. Vulcs are just more floppy and laid back and sometimes that's nice too.  :)

Thanks for the advice. I've been wearing them inside the house Mr. Rogers style for the past few days and I walked a mile in them last night, they are definitely starting to feel a little better, but it's taking longer than I expected. Damn wide feet.

Really handy in a pinch when needing a bolt or two. Is there a difference with red bushings vs. the standard?

How did you manage to snag a copy of the VHS? Would love to have some shit like that... Also picked up the Pat Burke & I haven’t skated it yet, but the shape seems nice...

Last two times I've gone to Goodwill I've found some really sick Vans in my size that hardly look used. Got a pair of Era Pros and regular slip ons for under 20 bucks.

(not actually mine but like I said, they feel just barely broken in)

The only thing that sucks about ordering online on the weekend is it feels like it takes forever for shit to come in the mail.

That Chico board looks so good.

I’m not sure if this counts as skate stuff but I bought one of those BumBag satchel things, but this one comes with a water bottle built in. I figure it’s a good take along thing now that summers coming and I have a weird thing for skating in 100 degree weather

Just a heads up, these shirts are oddly sized...the medium fits me like a small but with really short fucking sleeves, the elastic 'cuff' barley made it to mid forearm - it fits loosely on my 14year old offspring and that's without a wash and/or shrink. I think one good run in a warm wash and dry cycle and it will fit a youth sized person.a

I'd order a size up (if not two).

Don’t really know where to put this I couldn’t find a review/thoughts on products thread.

For what it’s worth I’m about 5 sessions in on my  aves and yesterday I noticed they got a hole seemingly out of no where on the inside of the foot where it’s mesh. It’s in my front foot so it can’t be from scooping the board. Suede and sole still holding up. Just wanted see if anyone else had similar issues or maybe it happened from taking a spill.

Still skate and feel great but I thought they had Duracap under the mesh or something but they don’t.

I don't get how vans has the gall to charge 100 retail and not put duracap under the weakest material of the shoe.

Exactly! I didn’t pay full price and that’s the only reason I’m not completely pissed. 20% off plus I won 50$ at a casino the day I got them. But either way you shouldn’t have to be careful with a skate shoe. I thought I saw in the ad or something duracap was under the shoe but maybe I misunderstood.

I got some tensor mag lights. Besides the obvious lightness, I can say they actually turn ok. In comparison I had Destructo d2s before and the tensors have been able to turn about the same without having to be as loose. This is with stock bushings vs the destructos which had Indy aftermarket bushings. Grinds feel good just like the destructos.
