Picked up a couple decks.
Homies even rooted through the piles to pull me some nice flat IVs out of the stack.

DLX x Todd Francis shop deck: 8.75 x 32.62 x 14.6
Real FULL: 8.5 x 32.62 x 14.6

They haven’t run that 8.5 FULL in a minute, so I had to pick one up while I still could & the Deluxe 8.75 w/ the 14.6 WB has been calling to me for a minute. Finally got around to picking one up & found it in stock with a graphic enjoy.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me… You think you got me?

Picked up a few shoes online, this past retail sales holiday.
All 3 pairs delivered for under $100 USD.

Cons x Alltimers Fastbreak jawns.

Reebok Club C Bulcs that look like everything I had wished my brown éS Accel OGs would have been as far as a classy, puffy sneak.

Reebok LT Courts: been waiting a while for these to show up on the cheap & my patience finally paid of.

Technically, the two Reeboks aren’t “Skate Shit” but I did buy them recently & I do plan on skating in them.

Let us know how those reebok courts skate been having my eye on those for a bit, I still have 3 pairs of club c mids to skate through when I’m able to actually skate again, but those look dope

I wasn't sure about that REAL graphic from the catalog, but it looks great on that board, the overlay works nicely with the wood stain.

That Deluxe shop board looks really good too!

Did the Real board come in different stains too, or just the yellow on that shape?  Not a worry either way, but I think I have developed a thing for more simple wood stain options over full board graphics of late.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

@Mbrimson88
There were multiple (seemingly random?) stain options available.
It doesn’t translate well in the photo, but there’s a nice, subtle metallic sparkle/pearlescent overlay on the upper portions of the deck, and sections without closer to the tail, giving it a pleasant but understated touch of class beyond the now instantly recognizable Natas script.
Graphics aren’t a make-or-break for me, but I DO prefer this over the standard oval.

Nice!

Just looking back over a few other things and I now think that has a very old / classic Stereo Skateboards vibe to that font, thinking Lee, Fowler, Shipman era, but I could be mistaken.

Maybe it was more just looking at some other late 90s, early 00s stuff, On Video might actually be closer.

Either way, I like it.

Do you keep the stock insole in them?

I found that if I put in a nice well worn insole (whatever brand but similar size / height) for the first while and really wore them a bit - skated but not hard - then they get quite comfortable quite quickly, but keeping the new stock insole in them, I just couldn't get my foot to wear the heel in and they almost went in the "sell or giveaway" stack before I had even had them a week.

It helps in warmer weather too, maybe the sweat and the heat help shape the shoes to your foot more quickly.

Often just wearing them around, especially walking a lot, they don't do your feet any favours and end up with blisters or other pain, but in saying that, everyone's feet are different, so that was just my experience in any number of Vans shoes, slip ons, eras, authentics, maybe more so than old skool, sk8 low or half cabs though.

That popcush insole is so damn thick, I've never been able to replace them/stack with anything and keep the same 'foot' depth and have them feel comfy/snug where they weren't sliding around about to fall off.

yeah they are kinda overkill for shoe im not skating
took em out today and my feet can breathe again
they were supposed to be “standing shoes”
but no insole has actually been more comfortable

How do you like the 440s? Theyre my go-to skate shoes but i have MTE2 old schools for my trail shoes.  I don't have any complaints about the vans but a 440 version is interesting.

That popcush insole is so damn thick, I've never been able to replace them/stack with anything and keep the same 'foot' depth and have them feel comfy/snug where they weren't sliding around about to fall off.

I feel like the classics and the pro classics(discontinued) series were normal height, but the classics insole is glued in. The pro classics I had with the ultracush felt too high and tippy in the back. And with slip ons they were super tight on top of my foot. I think this is because they kept the dimensions of the shoe the same and just thickened the insole... I think with the new "skate" line, they adjusted the actual shoe to accommodate the thick footbeds. So if you have a shoe from the new skate line, it might not work well to swap out footbeds... Maybe the sk8 hi and half cab don't suffer this as they're high/mid tops...

Not really ever gonna be much heel protection in vulcs as they don't have a midsole. Nikes got the airbag, vans has popcush, converses footbeds are pretty thick... I've been thinking about glueing some foam or gel or something underneath my superfeets to create a little midsole action or at least heel protection

Sometimes I wish they still had the "pro" vans... The only issue I had was the foxing peeling away from the outsole all the time and the high-ass footbeds.... All they had to do was fix that outsole issue and put some less-extreme footbeds on there. Instead they went and changed the whole shoe... Less boardfeel cause they made the sole thicker .. maybe they misread complaints about "sole durability" and just added more rubber to the bottom... less ability to swap footbeds for orthotics or whatever.. not as wide it seems. I'd rather skate the regular classic vans at this point and drop a superfeet right on top of the glued in insole, vs the skate line.. but I can't tell myself the outsole won't separate again..

Even though I think vans looks sick I haven't worn them in years. And I got wide feet and those pro sk8 hi's were my jam.

Also the toy machine fists deck is such a classic

Tried them yesterday and they feel pretty good, probably they'll do ok in a basic hike, nothing too fancy. I wouldn't go into snow with them but I will eventually.

Thinking that is the 8.375 shape, with the 14.8 wb or something, but I don't know how many shape options they have.

Seems all the rest are way more "normal" in every other shape / size, from looking up the boards.

https://www.skatedeluxe.com/en/palace-kyle-pro-fast-8-375-skateboard-deck-multi_p164299

width: 8.375"
length: 32.125"
wheelbase: 14.875"
nose: 6.75"
tail: 6.5"

* I don't really get to see many / any in person though, so I just don't know.

I had this set of 1/8" risers sitting lonely on the shelf so headed to the local and picked up some 60mm Tony Hawk X formula wheels. Good Lord they're tall.

Already have some rails and bearings. Guess I'll be back on here when I decide on a deck and trucks.

8.25's with 2 Jessup and 2 Pepper Galaxy
F4 99 Radials 53
Some 7/8 Allen hardware
440 trail
Now I have to stop, srsly.

How do you like the 440s? Theyre my go-to skate shoes but i have MTE2 old schools for my trail shoes.  I don't have any complaints about the vans but a 440 version is interesting.

Tried them yesterday and they feel pretty good, probably they'll do ok in a basic hike, nothing too fancy. I wouldn't go into snow with them but I will eventually.
Like them a lot.

Isn't Puig's shape actually an 8.2 that has the super long WB?
The one I have is 8.2 and WB 14.25. What's the deal with Palace having 8.2 and 8.25? I don't think there is really a difference, only a placebo effect for Puig maybe?
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I’m still deciding what trucks to use on the tequila Huffer I got last month, but the Lance Mountain wheels are definitely going on it with 1/8” risers. AF1 60, AF1 66, or V-Hollow 6.1 are going to be my next purchase.

Ordered a shop deck from Side Shop in St.John's Newfoundland. Has the old "Big 5" beers of the province done up in Shop labels. A touch of family history and supporting a small shop in a often non skate friendly environment (weather and infrastructure) for the win.

Wall hanger for the basement.
