If Suciu played, and actually played seriously, I think he might be able to win it.  He killed it at the Es game of skate several years back, and this:

He definately has the natural ability to figure out every possible skateboarding trick.

I can think of a brand new group of 20 or so skaters who have never been in this thing and are seemingly really good at flat that could make for some really great games. Instead, we get the same goddamn people again and again.

Throw Bobby Worrest on that list too! Dave Bachinsky seems like he's got a pretty deep bag of tricks. And how about Nick Merlino? Something tells me you have to be able to switch b/s 360 on flat before taking it down stairs...

I'm always struck by Prod"s good nature and professionalism in the spotlight.   It's not hard to see why he is Nike's golden boy.  He's not my fave to watch by any stretch, but I find him thoroughly respectable.  He, cole, mo, pj, shane, and morgan, are the robot guard of flatground supremacy.  If you can't beat at least two of them (and most know they can't thus show up over it) you ain't winning shite.  I like to see new faces as much as the next dude, but these guys should always be in it, because if you don't beat them, you didn't really win [flatground] skateboarding. ;D

It's interesting to think that it's only a matter of time before someone shows up who's going to be able to abuse them all consistently.  But likely not until age really starts to play a role.

I can't believe they even put some of these games online for people to watch, there horrible. pro vs flow would have been a much better route to take.

They have done "unsanctioned" games of SKATE before.  They should do random games of skate on all sorts of obstacles separate from BATB.

i was genuinely surprised the berrics still existed when i went to it about a month ago. I watched the first two, and the finals of the 5th BATB...

heres a few things that would make it better:

-only allow 4 riders from the US, two from East, two from West
-2 riders from Canada
-2 riders from England
-2 from Asia
-2 from Australia
-2 from rest of Europe
-2 from South America
then we could really see who is the best in the world

-Make it all happen in two days. Have people play simeltaneously during the live event and upload the VOD's for later. So play up to semi's on Saturday and then do grand finals on Sunday.

-Double Elimination. Makes for a better tournament if someone plays a bad game... i think most would agree that the better contender comes out on top in a longer set.

could it not be all am? get rid of people who don't really want it.

It needs something.

How about a mellow run. little kicker. Then a small euro. a water gap...

fuck!

anything would be better.

The only way these games will get more interesting is by getting rid of those stupid ass rules!

Would be cool to see some wacky no-comply variations instead of those generic flips all the time....
