How is their Pale 31? I haven't seen it on the east coast, which is strange because I've bought Sacuba and Double DBA

Try Whole Foods, I think I saw it in there...went into one last night and was surprised with the selection. You might get lucky. You're in Vermont right, Pancake?

Gonna pick up an Oak Aged Yeti today, stoked.

I know this is a beer thread, but right now I'm enjoying this fine drink:

Wedding gift from some friends of ours.

Going to this tomorrow though:

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Nice. I picked up (and soon finished  :P) Glenfiddich's "Age of Discovery Bourbon Cask" in December.  I'm not the biggest fan of Speysides, at all, but man was that stuff flavorful. The sweet and fruity Speyside flavors went really well with the heavy vanilla and caramel from the bourbon (and barrel). Drank almost like a light, and brighter rye.

Nah I'm in Western Mass, roughly 45 minutes south of Brattleboro VT. I ended up seeing some Pale 31 and some DBA at my local liquor store shortly after I posted that first comment

Tried this yesterday, little more malty than I like but it wasn't bad at all. First time drinking out of one of these cans. Drank it while I was playing on the playground with my baby, win win.

Haul from the other day. Old Lady wanted to try the Birra.

Almanac is the shit. We just had the Valley and the Sourdough on tap at work. I just drank a bottle of the Peche last night. Had the Birra a few nights ago too, my first Prairie upon recommendation of this thread. It was good. Really simple belgian blonde, I was hoping for more tartness but I want to revisit it again. Gotta get some of their other stuff too...

i think eli5abeth is my favorite prairie beer (after bomb!). 'merica, prairie gold and funky galaxy are all really good too. birra isn't bad, but for a lighter farmhouse/saison I prefer stillwater classique.

Another haul from a few days ago. Just got back from an overnight trip to Santa Rosa to visit Russian River. Will post pics later if I get a chance.

Homie got me one as an early birthday gift.

Only one growler is mine, filled the others up for Nallid and my other buddy. 2 Plinys and the 2 Sours also aren't mine, I didn't really like their sours. The Hop 2 It was amazing. The Bling Pigs were bottled yesterday. Stoked on that. Does any one know how long my growler will stay fresh and carbonated before I open it?

I'm super jealous of all you pals being able to indulge in Pliney the Elder. Can get it here in jersey. I want to try that beer more than anything. That Sucaba is delicious though.

should be good for 3 or so days unopened. 24 hours or less once you pop. unless they were counter pressure filled, then you're good for a while.

looking forward to driving up there in a few weekends. really want to hit bear republic and lagunitas, too.

Thanks max, I really wanted to hit Lagunitas too but oh well, next time. If you have some free time to stop in San Jose let me know and we can have a beer or a sesh or both.

Another thing to consider is how well the cap is sealed. We use a machine to cap our growlers (overflow technique to purge oxygen), and I've had my growler last at least a week or two unopened.

Lagunitas is awesome.  in my opinion Bear Republic is skippable if you are on a tight schedule.  i did the extra drive from RR doing the same thing one weekend.  being a long time fan of Racer 5 i was excited to check it out.  was pretty disappointed.

the brewpub looks like a TGI Friday's interior decorated by Guy Fieri.  and they didn't really have any pub-only taps.  maybe like 1

if you are passing though it's worth checking out

Yea I called Russian River today and they said it should last at least a couple weeks unopened. Thanks tho dudes. Had a Lagunitas Sucks earlier as a birthday brew, wanted to drink my All Day IPA but didn't have enough time to enjoy it.

definitely. just gotta get fully settled out here. likewise if you are in the city.

floop, thats a bummer. racer 5 seems to be on tap at every shitty bar here and i'm thankful. sucks to hear their brewery isn't that cool.

in related news the anchor ipa is pretty damn solid.

Hyped we started getting Santa Fe Brewing this week, but at the same time it's sadly nostalgic. Might have to try and visit this Fall (Chile harvest ;D)

No idea why Happy Camper isn't even close to being as popular as Sucks. Very similar IMO,  Happy Camper just holds up better and is a bit more piney and vegetal. More of a caramel malt than Lagunitas, too, but not quite as present as in something like WCIPA.
