Aliens arcade. Brightly coloured monsters made it feel like Contra with bad controls. Disappointingly repetitive. Figured it will redeem itself a little during the final level:

Ended up being a sluggish button mash. Couldn't have been more lackluster.

back in 2009 I used to play cod modern warfare religiously, then mw2 and I slowly started to drift away from the franchise. I remember buying the world war 2 game and playing it for a week and I just couldn’t do it. Cod sucks now, the new one looks ok though. Last game I played was red dead 2. Played it for a week also and just got bored of riding a horse for hours at a time.

I love the game, but the problem is that it isn't relaxing to play. I get so amped up playing it I can't play it at night when I usually like to unwind and play a game. Same problem I had when playing through the Hotline Miami games.

First and last interactive movie I played. Prefer to enjoy the two things separately.

Played through the first episode of Dusk. Really fun, better than the original Quake solo campaign. Hopefully Amid Evil is just as good.

I played untitled goose game over the weekend. Pretty chill, no stakes puzzle solving. You basically play as a goose, and wander around a little town fucking with people, taking their shit, breaking stuff, being annoying. All to solve the goals the game gives you.

It's not hard. It was a good afternoon

Dusk got a bit tiresome towards the end of episode 3. Yet here I am, chasing the remaining achievements.

Hoping to get the computer to work with a pvm monitor. Bloodstained would look great on it.

Borderlands 3 to play with friends, but the game is so buggy it crashes whenever there's a lot of enemies and particle effects. Lame :/

I ruined Amid Evil by trying to get a no kill achievement. Wasted so much time and just decided to delete the whole game. Thought it would've had a bit more inspiring environments, too. Hexen it is not.

Based on this, I need your (or other MGS fans') advice:

I played the shit out of Metal Gear Solid, sons of liberty, and snake eater. I have been willfully ignorant of any game lore past that point.

To play MGS 4: I bought a ps4 thinking I could just play the old games off PSN (LOL) and then slowly catch up.
I am contemplating buying a ps3 to play OR giving up and watching the 8-15 hour playthru on Youtube.

As it stands, MGS is one of my favorite games/stories but I'm super afraid of the next 3 additions being ASS and the franchise (as I know it) dying.

Knowing what you know--- is it worth playing the rest of the game and risking changing my feelings towards this great franchise?
Or should I just take my infinite ammo headband and walk away?

Well, let's just say that you can forget about story in Phantom Plot, while MGS4 is more plot than game. Hope it makes sense. Don't think you'll be disappointed by 4, play it. PP is, mechanically, is pretty great, but the story is just is not there.

This is so true. Very on point. MGS4 is great.

PP has great controls and mechanics but no story and just repetitive as all hell. Love the way it plays, not the game it self.

D-Dog is the best fucking character.

I hate saying it but just play Ground Zeroes unless you already bought Phantom Pain. It feels so unfinished but infiltrating bases and shit is fun.

Im hoping death stranding has a legit tight story, but it looks very clunky and heavy as far as gameplay. Still looks cool and will check it out. Speaking of Norman Reedus whos in that game. Anyone see this Master of Horror episode with him in it? Its a pretty fun watch. Equal parts creepy and cheesy. John Carpenter episode so you know its not terrible.

Been playing Forza 4 on 360.

The only way to play this game is, manual trans, traction control OFF, to get the "Drift Meter" jumpin. Good times.

Since i'm buying a PS3 to play Guns of the Patriots only, anyone know of any other sick PS3 games that aren't on the ps4?

I did exactly what they predicted i'd do. I bought 2 xbox ones just so my girl and I could play coop, cuz they don't do local coop anymore either.
