SOTY issue of Thrasher says Vans has a huge new rider that they’re keeping secret. Slap’s pretty good at figuring out this sort of thing…anyone have ideas? I can’t think of anyone

True, but I don’t think Vans would be pulling all this secrecy over some contest skater. Its gotta be a needle mover for the core crowd like Reynolds for NB#

i think “huge secret” is being undermined right now. he has to be someone that’s well established in the industry and will make you think “what the fuck” when you see the announcement

This would help partially explain why they didn't renew a large amount of contracts. Gotta free up some of that $$$.
In thinking about this, though, I cannot imagine who it could be. I'm hoping it'll be Wes Kremer as a wildcard pick.

Just saw a short clip of Wes Kramer for Mosiac Bearings he was Rocking Lakai Flacos if im not mistaken, made me realised he looks really good in a Logo Shoe Brand if that makes sense.

I think Wes on Lakia would be mutually beneficial and kinda rad
