I buy super reds but when the bearings finally deform from stomping I buy reds.
I take the ceramic balls from the SR put them in the reds.
Ceramic bearings grind up shit in your races and keep your bearings from deforming as easily. if you clean them after they can be used in the rain and snow.

I have yet to try Bronson. I feel like the Raws would not be able to handle the filth I skate in.

Element white ceramic was the best bearings I’ve ever had. I took great care of them. Lasted from 2002-2016

I prefer raws to Swiss, I go back and forth and id say the raws cruise longer and are faster, swiss are smoother snd most likely last longer but need more maintenance due to the oil based lube and shields.

I tried Bronson they  lasted maybe a year or so. Immediately went back to reds.

Also didn’t jenkam do a bearings test? Curious how these stacked against each other

To be fair, reds are overrated. The mininlogo bearings worked as well as reds from the few sets I’ve had.

I thought Bronson took advantage of an expired patent from Bones. Aka ripped their whole design. This true?

If you told me they were exactly the same , except for the branding, I would not be surprised

According to jenkam Bronson was second to bones Swiss.  Reds was 3rd to last.

For what it’s worth:

But as someone in comments said there’s no weight on the board so that could have an affect (effect?).

I guess I'm lucky.  I bought a set of G3's a year or so ago and they work fine.  They're fast, smooth and are fairly easy to clean.  I don't know about the G2's.  I've never had them.  They may be shit.  I had a set of Reds and they were fine for several months but started to eventually seize up even with routine cleaning.  I do feel like I got my money's worth out of the Reds for the price though.

A while back, because of comments like "Bronson are Garbage", "They suck" etc, I got paranoid that maybe they weren't as fast or as smooth as I thought and maybe I was missing out.  I saw Indy Blacks getting some love and I found some on sale and ordered them.  They're good.  I like em, but they aren't as fast and don't roll as far as the Bronsons.  Maybe I got  lucky and got a decent set.  Maybe the G2's are garbage and the G3's are a little better.  I haven't had swiss ceramics or Swiss 6's or Racing Reds.  They may all blow G3's away, but so far I can't find another bearing in the price range of the G3's that even keep up much less are better.
I was addicted to the Hokey Pokey, but then I turned myself around.

Yup, check the back of the boxes... Shipping from the same factory.

Ive always been a Swiss guy.
For years I wouldn't ride anything else and I never had to replace them.
Working in a shop I'd always have some privileged customer leave a set of Swiss after replacing theirs.
So if I had a dud bearing I'd just swap it out and keep it moving.

Last xmas I was sent a promo set of Swiss Ceramics from the homie Rob at AWH.
I was stoked! I mean shit, they're the most expensive bearings out.
After skating them for a year, including two SF trips, they were never right.
I had to clean them three times within that year and they would still lock up and squeak skating the local park.
I was given a set of the Bronson Raws from my NHS rep a few months back and have had zero problems.
But since this stupid insta beef sparked up I'll probably set up a normal set of Swiss again.
Bronson is blowing taking a jab at another company.
Why not just prove you're better?

I actually just checked my board, I’ve been riding 9$ ccs bearings for 3 years and they are amazing and I’m the fastest one at the park, but I also know how to push properly in both stances

Bones Swiss or Super Swiss or that other "labyrinth one"(if it still exists). Theyre 50-60 bucks. Probably cheaper online if you shop around. If youre using anything else and arent under 160 pounds then youre skating too slow or you only skate parks. Its pretty much as simple as that.

Bronson's marketing is stupid but I like g3's over reds

but G3s are a higher price point than reds so it's expected to be better quality. how the G2's stack up against reds? that seems like a fair fight. Or how do Bronson raws stack up against bones swiss?

I’m pretty sure I’m riding eight different bearings right now, my board went in the river the other day though so I’m probably going to have to actually buy some soon.
