HAHA.  I call him the monkey king.  Somehow it's only racist when you say it about black people.

Crystal Palace + Ian Holloway?  Love it.  If QPR stays up and Palace gets promoted there will be fucking 7 teams from London in the top flight.

I'm starting to think United are too strong this year.  Chelsea are starting to pay for the lack of goals from Torres, but I think Chelsea were clearly the better team yesterday...unlike the game against Swansea.

My favorite english rivalry (as a neautral) next week.  Spurs v Arsenal.  I can see Spurs winning this one, with Bale doing the damage.
Signing Falcao in January should solve that, we'll see how Terry's injury affects the defence.

Still think that City is the top contender for the title but we'll see.

That's far from a done deal...chances are slim for any team to get him in January imo.

City looked a lot better with Silva back in the line up.  Gives them more creativity. When Silva's in the game and playing decent so does City.  Should be an interesting race between the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea. Chelsea should have put the game to bed in the first half yesterday.  Oscar, Mata and Torres had chances.  Arteta must feel like shit.  Gave a penalty kick and didn't convert his.  I was thinking why he was taking it, but then again who else could have took it for Aresenal?  Maybe Casorla or Giroud?

Yes, Cazorla, Giroud, anyone with an eye for goal but preferably not someone like Arteta who is a defensive midfielder. I found that to be kind of a bizarre decision.

Regarding the Falcao deal:  Torres is clearly not cutting it but I think Atletico are going to do anything they can to keep him there until the end of the season. With Falcao, they're almost a lock to get 3rd or 4th place and champions league next season (and all the cash that comes with it). Without Falcao...not so much. I don't know how much they can do about it though because he has a buyout clause of about $50 million in his contract. Abramovich may just be feeling spendy enough to activate it. Makes sense in a perverse kind of way as a replacement for $50 million man Torres.

You know who else really looks like a chimp though?

I believe that Falcao deal is happening if he wants to go, considering that Real, City and Chelsea are all rumoured to meet his buy-out clause.

e: also Huntelaar to Liverpool, OH YEAH

Podolski is really good at penalties too.

think falcao could easily end up on chelsea. torres (back to his old team) + $$$ makes sense.

as for huntelaar, its sounding like its not going to happen. says he prefers a summer move, if at all. im hoping for him or theo tho. walcotts been saying he wants to play up front... him and suarez would be good imo. also read somewhere that liverpool was looking into demba ba. def a stretch, but it would be mad kew. and there was previous sturridge interest, but uhhhh....yeah....

If this had happened at a WC game it would have been the goal of the tournament. Nuts!

9/10 times when people try something like that the ball flies 20 feet wide of the goal and they end up looking like a dumbass.

That creep can roll.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I was at work watching that live and nearly shat my pants at Zlatan's last goal.  I almost let out a ohhh and had to cover it up by coughing.  Don't know if it worked though.

Fuck yeah!  :)

Cant wait for the game tomorrow. Things are looking bright;
Rumour has it that Oxlade-Chamberlain, Szczesny, Walcott, Arteta, and Cazorla might miss the game. And it's certain that Fabianski, Gibbs, Diaby and Gervinho won't play.

So let's just hope AVB will get his head out of his arse and bench Friedel and Dempsey this time, and play both Adebayor and Defoe in a 4-4-2 formation.
I just put some money down on Arsenal - Spurs 2-3!
