This is true - like it or not Cobra might be the GOAT of Delaware Valley professional skateboards in terms of on the board accomplishments.   But Montco did produce Joseph O’Brien and amateur skateboarder, entrepreneur, and all around great guy James Gorecki (among others).

No argument from me on Stevie.  Bam is obviously an exponentially bigger celebrity and cultural phenomenon than Cole but from a purely skateboarding perspective Cole is/was an undeniably more prolific and accomplished skater professionally who, as far as I can tell from an outsider looking in, put a much greater effort into and emphasis on skating both in the streets and at contests over a longer period of time.  Suburban county biases and grudges aside haha

That must be so challenging to be in an industry that captures your image so often before and in middle of the process of transitioning.   

She sounds well-adjusted to how traumatic that can be.  Not just everyone could brave the public eye like that particularly when it could cost you a skate career to disappear for a few years to complete the process. 

That’s a toughness that exceeds being able to take hard slams

Great work as always. Sam’s photos have always been stood out, but I guess that’s what’s happens when you learn from O’Mealy and Barton. Transworld definitely had the best photo coverage for awhile. I remember him posting stuff on skate perception back in the day.

Does he lurk here? Seems to be pretty in the loop with the “Gino pushing” and “dill stylin” stuff.
