Anyone watch Magnolia more than once? I feel like that’s the James Joyce Ulysses of film.
Magnolia is my second favorite movie. I saw it a few times in the theatre and rewatch it pretty regularly. I was too young last time I tried to read Ulysses so I don't totally catch the reference but I just found out recently I'm pretty thoroughly Irish so maybe it's time to circle back.
EDIT: Sorry there was a lot I wanted to respond cuz I've been away a few days to so I'm gonna
@ you all
@EdLawndale The old Vidiots theater was 100% some thrown up walls and a mid video projector so I was expecting the same thing. Never underestimate the ability of orgs to snag some crazy grants. I was working the booth for the Gene Siskel Film Center opening and that was things was a huge technical upgrade from the old space so a similar sitch.
Also damn didn't know you were a Westsider! It's kinda whatever over here but I'll never have cheaper rent than this.
@Atiba Applebum I've been bingeing Godzilla (Heisei era) this past week and am pretty hyped for Godzilla Minus One. I'm sure it will take forever to show up here and will be only just OK but it does look good.
