I’m off social media, so does anyone know what pros are saying they’re entering yet?

Stoked to see Elissa announced. Great to see her getting her flowers and praises recently. She deserves it all and more. I’ve seen BA there the last few years or so. They typically let him skate his run as first skater of the day. He usually graces us with a switch 360 flip on flat. Not sure who else is announced outside of that post but the usual suspects are almost always there. It’s the 30th anniversary so there will probably be some surprises. The new course looks fairly mellow. I would love to see a modern day Busenitz/TNT style run win. Not sure who that would be though. Also TNT has been confirmed to perform Saturday night, so no need to DM him like a man. It’s always cool seeing all these different skaters in person and watching them warm up or skate in between runs. All the interactions I’ve had with pros and industry people at Tampa Pro have always been very chill. No ones really a cool guy or dick in this environment, maybe slightly awkward at worst. I hope to see some fellow Pals there this year.

I will be there! I really want to hit some street spots while I am there too. I am actually kinda more excited about that than the contest really, but I am hoping to mega geek out as well.

Hope Ginwoo will be there. Just saw an IG clip of him doing backside double flip down Macba 3, landing bolts.

I want to see him beat Jah again.

I think Ginwoo is technically still an AM. He skated at the last couple Tampa Am’s. Tampa Pro got a little strict like 5-6 years ago about letting ams enter the Pro contest. I’m surprised Jart hasn’t put his name on a bloard yet.

Tampa is sick for skating but the downtown spots can be a bust/hectic sometimes. There’s still some chill spots all around the city though and Bro Bowl is pretty close to SPoT.

Unfortunately I don’t know of anyone at the moment, but will keep my eyes peeled. I actually scored a VIP ticket last year from a random person selling them in SPoT IG comment section. It was surprisingly a smooth transaction, SPoT middle manned the deal so no one got ripped of.

Agreed I would turn him pro right away, I am sure anything with his name with it will sell really well in his age group.

I don't really understand how he can compete against Jah in X-Games but not in Tampa Pro. Although I do know Zitzer understands skateboarding a lot better than ESPN.

My theory is that whoever manages Ginwoo knows better than to let him turn pro for Fart. Probably holding out for a ludicrous offer from Primitive, or some other company that’s even mildly respected. Then again, we all know board checks are nothing compared to shoe and drink deals, so maybe I’m just talking out of my ass, and we will see a Ginwoo weed graphic in the not so distant future.

haha thanks man! Ever since I've had a board with my name on it, Tampa pro was never really on my radar but it actually seems pretty fun now that I think about it. Too late to schedule anything this year, but next year I think I'll make a solid effort to get out there and skate in the contest. Thanks for the confidence PALS!
