LOL @ the headlines I've been seeing about Dana's opinions on champs fighting. One article Dana basically says " Conor may never fight again, but that's okay because he's made a bunch of money" yet when it comes to GSP: "I'll be SUPER PISSED if GSP doesn't defend his title."
While I understand the thought process in both situations, these statements seem pretty contradictory. On one hand, you have a champ who's been holding up a division for an entire year and hasn't defended either of the belts he won. On the other hand, you have GSP who was a big ppv draw before the Conor era, defended his welterweight title multiple times, who JUST won the title and he's already being criticized for ducking his division and handpicking his opponents. Yes I get it, it's in GSP's contract yadayadayada, well it should be in Conor's contract too. It's this type of shit that has made me much less a fan of the UFC these days (although I still love me a good fight). Preferential treatment is bullshit. I get it, Conor's made you more money than ever. Why don't you get pissed when he doesn't defend? Maybe GSP would be more willing to fight if he didn't have a boss that criticized him any chance he gets.
